he tried several differnt bomb droids.... over and over. None of them came in... didn't even get a count down on me. They just stopped at the door like a Pc w/o access.

How many times did you try without the DDD? Was everything else the same? Same house etc?

We did try it in 4 different houses and a cantina. 2 small varients, 1 medium and a large. The only simular factor was the fact that they were all tatooine sytles. I did try it both with and without. without we only tried once per structure, since it worked everytime. All he had to do was target me and give the attack command, the droid came right in and boom took me out. I would stand in the part of the house farthest from him, and downstairs for the med, and upstairs for the large. When we tried it with, I stood in the same place and also relitivly close to the door as well. Now keep in mind we did have to wait for the tef to wear off and if the attack command is given before you get inside the droid will come in.

Were DDD's available since launch? (Didn't play since launch so don't know). Assuming that is true, then the Devs either;

(a) Knew ONE year in advance that they were going to introduce bomb droids and built into the DDD's as a dormant feature until the bomb droids were introduced; or

(b) They added this new functionality with the Jedi patch but didn't tell anyone.

Hmm... neither option seems plausible in my opinion.

I don't know when it was added, or why they didn't tell us. When the last mini-patch came out and they upped jedi bouties, they didn't tell jedi that our xp losses were increase from a BH db. In fact it was only after several jedi found ou the hard way and made a huge fuss over it on the boards, did the devs put that info in the patch notes. It's entirely possible Bomb droids have been around since launch just never release, as an architect you see the same thing all over the place... tons of furniture and other items that are in the game that we cannot craft. If this is the case then it's entirelyy possible that it's been an unknown feature from day 1.

Either way, I know it works... I've personally tested it with DDD's my Architect made and the result's are satisfactory.... As far as I'm concerened they work, seen it with my own eyes and now have them in all my private houses.

Despite the fact that I name them "anti-droid Jedi protection device" I always tell anyone who ASKS that I have no clue if they do anything or not.
