whooo hooooooo --------

i thought UP was a horrible idea......all it meant was more mindless gringing to get skills you will barely ever use....also it would have basically been the realm of PAs anyway and there would have been no place for independent planners

You assume that associations/groups of players that plan on building a city will look at the free market for city Structures.

-your assumption will most probably prove wrong

Consider this:

+ You will need a certain number of players to be able to start a city

+ There will be limited space and numbers of cities

+ There will be limited numbers of structures available for cities

+ Cities will only need 1 of each kind of City-Structures in most of the cases (1 shuttleport, one cantina, one hospital etc)

+ groups/associations of players will already have at least one architect in their ranks

+ That the architects in those groups of people planning to start cities will do most if not allwork in building the city

All the above leads to the conclusion that there will be no or only little free market for City Structures and more important the market will be limited to start with.

That is why i think an urban planner profession utopic and I suspect the Developers might thing similarly. If there were an UP profession the Master Architects of each PA orplayer groupconsidering to start a city will master UP and build the city after all city structures are placed the UP profession will be useless and the will re-deed their skillpoint to more usefull skills.
