Thread: Furniture placement
Also, how do put stuff on top of other stuff. For example, how do I put a video screen on top of my coffee table?
Thats the only possible solution I'd know of.
Unfortunately, there is no command to move items up or down.
ACK! Oh well, at least that's something. Like I said earlier, someone mentioned stairs, but didn't say in what way I could use them, so at least I'm better off than when I started.
Thanks for the help.
Unfortunately this suggestion of using the stairs in the hallway doesn't work (or at least has never worked for me) the problem is you can't move items through doorways else you get an 'this is an invalid location' msg ![]()
For a PA hall you are limited by the 3-4 steps in the main body of the hall.. you can do nothing with the basement as it has no stairs.. oh for a /movefurniture up /movefurniture down command!! ![]()
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any threads about it here, so I'll ask you myself:
How do you place plants and lamps on tables in a generic PA hall? I have seen various type of houses and halls that have plants in the cubby spots, fish on the walls, and stuff on table tops, including generic PA halls, but I have not found a way to do this. Someone mentioned something about stairs, which the main room of my PA hall has, about five of them, but it didn't make a bit of difference when I tried standing on them.
Any suggestions?
Does '/move forward 50' let you get through doors? I take it that 50 is a certain distance that you can make larger or smaller, right?
I was playing with moving stuff around and had the same problem with the stairwells in my PA hall where it wouldn't let me go through the doorway, so if this command lets you do that, it would be sweet.

Yes. If you just use the radial menu option to move forward / backward then it moves 10 units.
If you use the command : /move forward xx then it will move xx units. Very useful for putting stuff in just the right spot.
Also, you can rotate items by x degrees by using /rotate left yy where yy is the number of degrees to rotate. i.e. /rotate left 30 rotates it 30 degrees to the left
To try for clarification, has anyone been able to move items thru doorways? I to always get the invalid location or whatever it is.
