Q-1.7: What planet can I build my house on? What house style do I need for Lok, Rori, Dantooine, etc.?
A-1.7: If you have an existing deed then it depends on if the deed was made before or after the player city patch. If the deed is post-patch then it will say on it what planets you can built on. Post patch rules are:
Post patch:
Corellian - buildable on Corellia, Talus,
Naboo - buildable on Naboo, Rori, Dantooine
Tatooine - buildable on Tatooine, Lok, Dantooine
Generic - buildable on Corellia, Talus, Naboo, Rori, Dantooine, Tatooine, Lok
(I refered to the buildable planets for small houses when checking the post-patch rules. I'm assuming it follows for the medium, large and PA halls too. If you know for a fact that it does not work for another house style then please let me know.)
Pre patch:
Corellian - Corellia
Naboo - Naboo
Tatooine - Tatooine
Generic - Corellia, Talus, Naboo, Rori, Dantooine, Tatooine, Lok
The Empire has forbidden building houses on Endor, Yavin 4 or Dathomir.

Question: Have the devs stated definitively that the large houses will always continue to take up 6 lots and only hold 250 items. This current system for large houses seems unreasonable, because people who want to store large amounts of junk (or crafting materials) will simply buy many small houses to get the most storage per lot (thereby not reducing stress on the database). Is the architect community pursuing this problem (todecrease number of lots or increase storage capacity oflarge houses)- or is this an over-and-done issue, already vetoed by the devs. Or, alternatively, do you feel that there are bigger fish to fry, and this issue is back-burner (perfectly logical).
I just think it's ridiculous for an architect to scramble up the ranks and be able to make large houses, but be pretty much unable to own one (2 lot factory + 6 lot house = 2 lots for mining??). Ditto for the crafters & merchants, who desire to have nice shops, but can't afford the lot requirement of the large houses (which were practically MADE to be shops). Right now the only class that can afford to have a large house is a fighter type.
So far as I know, this issue is not decided yet... I thought I had read something about it awhile ago, with regards to it being requested by players. But I'm not sure where it stands just yet.
Great Job guys
However i have a couple of soloutions for those of you with Placement Lot issues:
it can be a MAJOR hassel for master craftsmen of all types so heres what i did:
Ask your friends for use of their lots; as long as you maintain the harvesters houses(for storage space) or factories (if they dont mind their email getting spammed if you use them alot) its very simple and most fighter types appreciate free weapons armor or stims (which you should provide to them for using their lots) or even some extra creds from sales you make (call it rent)
You can also Hire someone to place harvesters for you which i have done either by paying them creds for doing so or by sharing the resources gathered : what i did was provide the harvester pay the maintenance and power requirements and find the resource then split the resources with these people at a rate of 70/30 which gave them resources to sell for creds or if i really really really needed the resource i bought them right back from them either way they walked away happy and 9 times out of 10 another resource i needed or could redily use would spawn at a decent rate right under the already placed harvesters so I didnt have to beg or wait for these people to move the harvesters (for guild mates this is much easier and trust is usually not an issue but if you treat a person fairly and honestly it usually isnt an issue with people that you "hire")
and factories are much easier since they are rarely if ever moved
Hope this helps atleast some of you
I added the factory tip as "Tip 4.1". Not really a QA so made it a "Tip" instead.
