Dharma, heh, that's funny. Good point though the person saying that they can get a better deal isn't always lying. I was on the customer side of this the other day. I had a new contact and found out he was an architect. I told him the prices that I was getting items that I needed at and he stopped responding (I got the impression that he thought I was trying to rip him off). Instead of finding a way to work things out he lost my biz. About 750,000cr worth of biz this week alone. Just an FYI.

Facts to Know:
1. Superman's only weakness is Kryptonite. Jack Bauer laughs at Superman for having a weakness.
2. When Jack Bauer goes to the airport and the metal detector doesn't go off, security gives him a gun.
3. If Jack Bauer saw a terrorist reaching for a bomb to blow himself up, Jack would shoot the bomb first. Nobody steals a kill from Jack Bauer.

I've been lucky with prices, I guess. Not much comment on them, and I keep raising them all the time. I also don't go out in public much, which probably helps avoid this type of scam. I have inquiries about architect items directed to a non-architect toon, which helps even more.

Since we have this price over-sensitivity, I think if you want to use example prices, and truly be make-believe use either outrageously high or outrageoius low prices. Like, hey I thought Medium houses were only 100 credits...why are you trying to charge me 200 credits? Still gets the point across.

And my thoughts when looking at the example prices were, "Those are kinda low" (thread hijack over).

I think one thing to add to the scams is the ever popular :

C : Can you make me a BER14 Mineral??

ME : BER13 is the max.

C : That is not true, xyz makes BER14 but they are 160k, since your's are only BER13 you need to sell for 80k

ME : /addignore

I had that happen several times and Novice Architects or new masters with little experience might be taken by it.

The maxes are in the FAQ, and anyone telling you differently is plain out lying or has a pre patch something something

Pawlin you should add your scam story to the Annoying Customers you want to throw in the Sarlacc Pit thread over on the Merchant Boards. If you give that thread a read, I think you'll see you're not alone.

As a side note, Pawlin plays on my server, and I love his prices. I've purchased a fair amount of heavy/medium harvesters from him and the service has been top notch. He's guaranteed more purchases from my operation once his back orders subside a bit...
