i am just cynical...i think we are peeing in the wind...it will be 3 months before blunderheart even looks at this list and another4 or more before we ever hear any replies..
i think most professions have just given up on these lists because nothing ever happens...
my gut tells me that unless things change around here very soon, this game has about 3 more months of life in it.
i am too that point again where all i have to do is in game is check harvetsors and run around paying maintence and loading my vendor...yawn....i started playing another game that is having a fre trial and while not as slick as SWG, it is FUN...i mean from the moment you log in to the moment you log out....
SWG is just turning into a series of chores and if you dont do them for a couple of days you are just completly screwed over.
I have a feeling ThunderHeart may start to regret appointing me... Like I said above .. I like this game.. But there are some things that need to be fixed to make this game capable of holding players for the long run... I am Patient enough to wait for those changes as long as I know they are coming.. I feel with this list ... We will be giving them an easy list to address.. And believe me I am going to be a thorn in the side till there is a response.. Quite frankly there are games coming out soon from companies that are known for having low amount of problems.. and my personal stance is show me your intentions.. and I will stay dedicated to SWG ... put us on the back burner and my eyes will wander..
That a way Dvnce, stick to your guns, and you'll keep my support.
If they just address the issues and fix the problems, I'm sure most of the people would be willing to stay in this game. I've done alot of forum hopping and reading, and that seems to be one of the main concerns of everyone in the game. BUGS. If they fix the old ones and really, TRULY, listen to their people on Test Center and fix the ones that are brought up in there BEFORE they release the next update, people are more than likely going to be happy, even if a few small bugs either appear or re-appear, because they know that if it gets addressed, it WILL get fixed.
1st rule of management: If you can't keep your customer base happy, you won't have a customer base.
(it's a little more extensive than that, but you get the idea and yes, I've been in mgmnt for well over 15 years, and customer service at that).
I'm not saying that they would have to put every little bug that pops up on a top priority list, but the bugs that have been around since day 1 or even the bugs that break, get fixed, break again, get fixed again, so on and so forth, need a whole lot of attention.
This may seem a little trivial, but one bug that bugs me the most, and it's an over all game bug, is the rubber banding I get when I dismount my swoop. 20 some meters in front, 30-40 meters behind it, 10-20 again in front. I'm not sure what's up with that, but I'm about to bring out my pet mount and go do things with it. lol.
That's where I look at things, the irritational factors of the game, other bugs can be fixed with updates and patches and new content, but bugs like the factory bugs, non crating OMU's and things like that, well, they need their own time and focus, not trying to do it while they are working on new content too. They need to sit down on their chairs and start coding specifically for that bug.
I appreciate your standing up for us Dvnce, as I'm sure the others do too, stick to your guns Dvnce, and TH and the others won't have a chance. They need to remember, you may be one person, but your voice carries the weight of many. We, atleast me, are behind you.
Disagree. There are many people who can work around the bugs, not effected by bugs, or just dont care as much about the bugs who what new stuff to do. There is a large base of players each has different needs. Each publish and mini-publish fix many bugs and problems and adds new content. That server the needs of more people than concentrating on only one area.
Plus there are a decent amount of developers (the artist) who can only work on new content. Do we have them sitting around doing nothing. Fire them and hire those who can do bug fixes?
hey Dunce...i have an IDEA
I think EVERY profession correspondant should submit 1 bug this week and DEMAND that it be fixed in Publish 8
maybe by focusing the devs on just 1 single item can get results...if they just fixed 1 bug a month the game could be pretty well fixed by the end of summer
