ok, I have just read the rest of the thread.


Now then, I like everything you are saying, the idea of banning attackers from re-entering a city after they attack it sounds great, but you would need boundary markers, like the signs we see outside of Mos Eisley etc, you know the kind of thing 'You are now entering the city limits' I know there is the flash message on your screen but having the signs placed every few hundred yards wuld be kinda cool.


The architects could build city wall like the ones surounding the NPC cities and gates and so forth, you know REAL defences, which could be attackd in order to create a breach (new career maybe - combat engineer? 'There is a hole in the north quater, cover the engineers') and bypass city defences.


Suddenly big and large houses would wanted by players in a city, you know the ones with balconies? Can anyone say sniper fire? Also if you want to avoid the HUGE loss of resources, time, moral and player wasteage, make the city vulnerable to attackfor a certain time, not each day like bases (I figure because a City is more perminant than a base, lets face it some of the cities in Europe have been standing for over 2000 years of constant warfare, they should need more time to organise an attack, say make them vulneable for 2 hours or 3 or 4 one day a week, like saturday or sunday, no one is in work or school then - unless you work weekends )

That sounds really great. Especially the Barracks and Turrets, that would be awesome. I don't know how the whole Shield Generator would work... That would mean, without one, your city is under attack 24/7?
I can think of a few other things I would like to see Architechts able to build for cities.

Fences/Walls... Other cities have them around the outskirts, why not us?
Flooring.. I don't know if this is realistically possible to code, But I'd like it a lot better if Player Cities could have Pavement, and things like that, rather than grass/sand/rock wherever you are.
