If you had some 99x conductivity copper and got the MSS up to about 90% then you'd probably hit 42 or so.
There is a link in the FAQ to a Excel sheet called Crafting Assistant that you can plug your material stats into and it will figure about how your station stations will come out. You might want to check it out.

my problem is i can only get a 43.79 station and EVERYTHING is 99% and the copper is 1000 CON.. my only prob is the mss's i could only get to 90%... any help? im on bria

whats the deal with that anyway? i have seen 45's on bria for sale. i dont know what they use... kinda makes me mad knowing there are better ones out there then mine

The 45 ones were made on the Crafter's Black Tuesday as it were. A one day change to the crafting system that allowed for perfect items to be made.
As for me, my run of a few hundred starship crafting stations is finished. They turned out to be 43.09 and I'm selling them for 75k each. A slight mark up from my normal crafting station price of 60k each. Sales have been steady.

Wasn't it confirmed sometime back that the ratings on the crafting stations and tools, didn't affect the outcome of the items crafted. If not confirmed, I seem to recall it being very strongly thought that the actual rating didn't matter. My stations only max at 38 or so anyway since I am not an Uber-resource hunter. Work fine for me I guess.

SOE's statement is that the rating "influences" crafting results. Exact quote is in the FAQ somewhere.
But no testing has demonstrated a significant impact. Assuming we're testing it right and that its working right.

How do you suppose a new player is going to enter "your" game with that kind of sales approach. /shrug
I started a Chef business with some pals on Starsider last year, and we kept prices fair, but still at a profit. Our customers are return customers and have always been loyal to what we've asked them to pay. If the price goes up.. very seldom does one ask why.. they can assume it's due to resource costs.. or what-not.
100k for a station.. that's great for you.. bad for economy.

We are talking about the high end stations made with the best materials in the galaxy. These are not required for new players. They are essentially luxury items.
A +14 station will work just fine and those will be a lot cheaper. I sell them for 5k and there isn't much demand.

its great how eveyone is so up about getting the 40+ stations and people will pay mad amounts for them but no one really know ifthey do anything....

Well I assume JTL will bring more expensive goods, but as someone once asked me to build them a city hall because "that's the most expensive single thing that architects can make". There's just not that much to buy at the high end, so people with credits to burn might go for the best out there.

And my max is 43.94 on Kettemoor. My MSS is 91%. DSC is 99%. Other parts are 99% and I'm using 999 CD copper. The DSC are from a bunch of old schematics I had from before the DE change.

That sounds about right. I think you've probably maxed out your materials.
Max I can get right now myself on Kettemoor with current experimentation rules is 43.6. My MSS is 91% but DSC is 97%. Other parts are 99% and i've got 999 CON copper.

I'm resonably happy with my 40.0035, since my MSS was only about 79%, and DSC were 99%, and CU's 93% (1000cond copper)
