Well the final tally is in:

We want structure decay: Out of 205 tallied votes:

40% Agree

60% Disagree

We want furniture decay: Out of 205 tallied votes:

32% Agree

68% Disagree

The polls are now closed. I'll be going through this thread again to look at some of the points an ideas (it took me long enough to count the votes!)

Maybe while you're at it, see if they can give correspondents the ability to post actual polls (Not the reply to this thread type). Just ask em to limit it to the forum they are correspondent for. That would seriously speed up the process of recieving accurate info.

PS I still think a linearly increasing maintenance cost (Capped at 3-4 times the initial maintenance cost) that reaches "maturity" in around 3-6 months is the best bet for decay. Especially if we could be allowed experimentation to affect maint/power consumption. Either way though, this is a viable alternative to item decay, and wouldn't affect furniture at all. Nothing would go poof (Unless maintenance wasn't paid of course). Maybe make harvesters last 3 months and houses 6 months? *shrug* that's my idea and I'm sticking to it
