I'd say go ahead and put them out there. I for one prefer to hand build my items the old school way, but that's just me. If it helps someoneelse put in a fireplace or aquarium they want, and means me not doing it, I'm ok with that. I enjoy the interior decorating not for the money, but for the challenge of creating new and unique things. If I miss out on creating a few of the more commonly requested displays, that's alright by me.

That Chandelier is awesome!!!
I'm gonna try and make one... Sorry, I don't want to steal your idea or anything, but if anybody asks, I'll give you full credit!
I wouldn't sell the macro, because they night just end up giving it to friends. Best you keep it to yourself.
Oh, and the fireplaces are also great!

Actually I think at this point there are too few interior designers.
We've got some folks that are creative and can do real interior design work but they are very few and far between.
I think if suchmacros were published then they would do 2 things. a) allow us uncreative types to do some basic designs just by following the macro b) make life easier for the creative interior designers by adapting such macros for use themselves and as a basis for new designs they create.
I don't think having someone like me able to program a macro like this would really hurt the business of existing interior designers much. Correct me if I'm wrong but my impression is that qualified interior designers are in so short supply right now that you can basically dictate your prices. Also just because I can wield a macro and make a fireplace, I still would not be able to come up with other unique designs of my own so my abilities would be limited to macros I'm given.
(I wouldn't plan on doing such macros myself, just using me as an example of someonewho could use such a macro but not do any real creative interior design work.)
Course I'm not an interior designer so I don't know if my opinion counts for much here.

Well, I -am- an interior decorator. Granted, I don't do much interior decor since I started playing my alt more (what can I say, I am having a blast) and even less since JTL came out (ok, ok, I am addicted to my ship), I do still do an occasional decor project. Usually for friends and such.
I passed my business on to a fellow interior decorator on my server whom I know is swamped with work simply because of one of the reasons stated above: good interior decorators are few and far between. Also, most of us try to give each home we do a little bit different flavor than the others, customizing them to their owners.
I say, publish them.
Those who want to build them, go right ahead. Those who want the other stuff that goes with them, the stuff that really makes the ambiance of the room, will continue to hire interior decorators. As long as SOE makes us work with a limited supply of item types, there will always be a market for creative interior decor.
Plus, I don't think it will hurt anyone's business to have these out there. Most people are either just not so good at decor, don't have the time to do decor the way they want it done, or, to put it bluntly, too lazy to decorate their own house and that's where interior decorators come in.
So yeah, toss em out there Moolyssa!

I don't see how it would hurt my interior decorating business. Matter of fact would help bc as it is now I am such a perfectionist at decorating that I have had hard time actually finishing a project in less than a few days. lol . I honestly would love to have a macro for decorating. I would love to see this would love to be able to make the imp table and the chandliers....Two Thumbs Up!!!!
