Ack. I thought that's what I did. I was under the impression that each planet was 16km x 16km in dimensions. Is this not the case? If it's not, someone please tell me. If it is, then each gridline convergence point should be 1km from any adjacent one.

The Devs have never said there is a maximum per planet. The only limiting factors are:


1. A city hall must be 1km away from any pre-existing city hall.


2. A city's max radius can't overlap with an existing NPC city.


3. Faction bases can't be in cities.


4. Terrain limitations


Technically, you could see a ton of player cities popping up. However, people aren't going to look at the optimal placement to allow the max number of cities. One city hall placed in a certain configuartion could preclude 4 cities from being built. If you look at the mountains, ravines, water, dunes etc, it can be hard to place a pa Hall. City halls are even larger.


I think when people start seeing the costs they will think twice about it.
