I can confirm that anything over 50% on the ore mining units will give you a +3 harvestor. AnyMaster archshould be able to achieve this on a schematic in less then 10 tries...i hit it on my third (51%).I achieved this with some 733 UT oq 700 steel so it is quite doable. hope that helps.

90k? No wonder they're selling like hot-cakes! Enjoy your running your ass off tending harvesters for that - lol.

What is my problem? I didnt made master architect to sell my best product for 3 credit/unit... I can sell the resources for that price easy... Thats my problem... You should quit and just sell the resources... Then i will be very happy... You and your kinda "smart" guys scru up the economy balance... We should make way more money and be abble to support our guild... But there are allways people thinking only about themselfs... I bet you dont even have a guild where to belong... If so im very sorry for them... They should get better members...

well, then sell resources. It's not what I signed up for. I have no problem making a profit and enjoying architecture with my prices. Who says I screw up the economy balance? I prefer to think of it as letting the customer know that other guys are ripping him off. its a free market: if you wanna stay competitive, lose the attitude.

cheers!

chiaros,

sorry but i find no other words, people like you are a jerk and a big one.

thats rediculous price, even for old ones was 90k very low price but for better now to charge same, then i can only ask why we can make different quality ones now, if it dont raise the value of the good then you are out of mind. as when or 1 time sell economy isnt hard enough borked.

why weaponsmithes then dont sell an high end scout blaster for same price then a lower one?

well they got a brain and you obviously not.

well sir, if you kept up with the architect forums (its clear you don't) no one is really sure that the harvesters will stay the same or not. so I for one am not willing to gip my customers. Secondly, don't insult me. What exactly about my prices makes me a jerk? offer an intelligent reason why my price is bad, then we will talk (although most likely we will have to agree to disagree).

chiaros its not against you personally, i apologise if i sounded that way, but matter of fact it is, that the architect profession is borked margin wise compared to all other crafters.

the point i have is that if you sell finished products for same or even under the price you can sell pure resources without risks or skills needed, then you dont do good business even when u make your profit, it is then undercutting and makes the profession useless.

so i hope you see my point and i am so sick to run al day to harvesters and all that, pay for redeeds, maintain and suffer failures on final combines, just to see people sell for prices like the pure resources would go for.

i hope you understand this point and can agree with, since its economy called and just rediculous that we in other words make not more money for amking things then selling pure resources.

and instead of harvesting tonns of ore i could set same harvester on high quality minerals and sel them for 9cr per unit? yes i could do. i hope this makes the point of view clear.

so finished products should always be more expensive then pure resources, soehow some ppl ruinened this economy and that was making me angry since month now, thats why i am a bit tempered always when i see such prices and views which aree not really thoguht over.

plus the fact, that we wnt sell mch in some month and all undercut structures hurt us.

Dont increase the price to high for new harvester cos prices will come down and then u going to have an angry client.

If now we have more extraction rate, we going also to have more resources and cheaper cpu resources being sold so more deeds will be made... and that = many deeds in market so >>> price decrease

I dont agree ppl selling medium rate 7 for the price of old heavy rate 7, have logic but its insane...when prices of medium decrease and u r force also to lower price, how u going to explain to your client that bought a medium for 100k that u now sell for 20k? u going to loose forever that client.

Im selling new harvester for 4.5-5 cpu and when prices fall i have np to lower for 3.5-4 and my clients wont get angry..u can call me lowballer or whatever but im not going to make ping pong prices to my clients.

I couldn't disagree more with this premise and here are the reasons:

1: VERY VERY VERY few miners (who sell stuff) mine ore because we can't afford to buy the ore at (4-5+ cr per unit) and still make a profit. Not to mention that they can pull far less ore than anything else (usually maxes in the high 60's and that's if your lucky)

2: They CAN and DO mine resources that all the other crafters need. Why? Because:

a: ALL the other crafters actually charge enough to where they can afford to buy resources.

b: They can pull more of the good resources due to higher deposits.

c: They can charge 5cr per unit (low end) up to 30+ (high end) per UNIT!

3: Anything that they can't sell they will just stockpile to sell later when the resource is dry on that type (and so they can sell it for even more).

Let me say this as gently as possible:

MINERS ARE NEVER GOING TO CATER TO US UNTIL WE ARE ABLE TO PAY HIGHER PRICES FOR ORE (because of lower concentrations) THAN OTHER CRAFTERS PAY FOR THEIRS.

Go look at the bazzar right now, Look at the entire galaxy and tell me how much ore you see. If you server is like mine you have mabey 3% of the total listings in it's category as ore. Then break that down to price and they are usually carging 3000cr for 200 units. If you are lucky you might find someone listing 500 units for 3000cr but it's rare.

So, assuming you could even find someone who has ore to sell in the amounts you need (and I know because I scoured several planets over the weekend) they will want somewhere between 6-10 credits (low end) for it.

Sinclare, you over-state the problem and you over-generalize a bit. Resources prices and ore availability vary greaty between servers. On Scylla, resources sell for 2 cpu if you go through any of the reputable miners. Bazaar prices contine to be high and range from 2-6 cpu on ore, the sellers apparently hoping to snare the desperate and those who do not know of these miners. One miner in particular draws nothing but ore (400-500K per day) and the price is still 2 cpu. At those prices, even selling at 90K still cuts you about 40K profit per heavy harvester which is more than respectable. Let's face it, we are never going to get the outrageous weaponsmith rate for architectural products. Weapons have a wider appeal. Just because the resource market is totally outrageous on your server does not mean the same can be said for every other. Pricing discussions that span servers is pointless.

Now before you discount everything I have said based upon the profession written in my signature, let me mention that my second account is a Master Architect (because I grew bored of Droid Engineer which is arguably even more screwed up than architect) and though I created this character mainly for my own amusement, I have sold a few heavy mineral harvesters at 95K each and have never had cash flow issues.

I have a serious ethical problem selling these experimented harvesters at a higher price given the uncertaintly that the increased stats will persist. I will not raise prices until I see word from the devs that the change is permanent and not unintended as they have repeatedly said.

"Re: New harvestors selling like hotcakes... "

Forgetting the issue of whether it is/has reverted or not and assuming it's not going to revert. . . .

Your high sales will only last until your market is full. In other words, as soon as the demand is filled you/us will be right back where we were when there was no experimentation: less demand once everyone get's their high extracting harveters.

On the possitive note: You WILL establish yourself above the average arch because you make a higher quality product.
