Mediums are going for roughly 40 to 60k on Ahazi.

And for those Arch's that are selling houses for 9 to 10k: As a merchant, I have made some profit reselling such houses for 15 to 20k. It would do you best to up the price a little bit. 15 to 20 is extremely fair for what you are providing to players. This opinion comes from a non-architect player.

I sell mine for 10K with all resources, and 20K without. I've had absolutely no problem finding customers despite the fact that my pricing plan is the exact same as many other architects on my planet (and all of those in my city) - it's probably the fact that I'm more "available"...

Seriously, it's true. I don't usually sign off, I just leave it as AFK until I come back, and you know what happens? Those who want a house go onto the community search window, search for architects, and usually most of the time I'm the only architect online by the time they look for one, and presto, commissions galore.

Well this is all good information. I know in my neighborhood housing for those that are skilling up still is 10k-12k. I know I craft so many items that I destroy a lot of them. I'm sure I won't destroy any houses though.

I suppose people charge what they're comfortable with. I'm also a medic (soon to be combat medic) and I make my money for my harvestors right now from kill missions... and my friends and customers. Also, Iwill most likelycharge less being in a partnership. The advantage many of you will have over me though is that I will not be leveling nearly as quickly so you can charge your 15-20k and build up your profits early on and put that money to work for you making your own havestor factory or whatnot.

In life there are big business like Walmarts that can afford to buy in bulk and charge a lot less and there is the small business person like your corner mom and pop store. Just think of it that way and don't get too upset from price variations, it's the way the economy works. Be entreupenurs and capitalists, not complainers. Use marketing strategies, perhaps you can give your business a more personal touch and make the customer feel good about their sales. I know I'll betaking everything I learned from my one college marketing class I had and trying to find ways to use it.

you guys must have picked a server where your the only architect for miles.

On SS main cities Houses go for 8k and i have to throw in a couch to make the sale.

You can find 4 to 5 architects in every main city with 10+ houses ready to sale.

2x resources is the best if you want to sale the items.

but resources cost 4x its murder out there i tell ya.

I'm an architect on Corbantis and I sell Smalls for about 12K now, (15 for the first couple weeks), Medium's for about 68 - 75K and I haven't madea large yet, but if I had to guess I'd say somewhere around 150K

If you see Large houses for 45K buy them if you have the money. That is much less than 2c/resoruce I think. My first price was 110K, now 130K, and will probably be 150K after I fill my last order. Even at 150 I still don't think I'm at 5c/resource.

The odd ones to me are Med Havestors. Anything other than Mineral takes about 10-12K resources. And people seem to be disgusted at me when I quote them a price of 40K each.

Anything under 4c a resource IMO is too cheap. There are people selling for that, but even at that rate it isn't worth my time. I haven't sold many, since I'm only bringing in about 15K ore a day. So a Large hosue takes about 2 days. 5c I think is reasonable and 6 is getting up there for some things. The biggest reason against a higher price to me is there is no difference from using good resources or bad ones. While there is a huge difference in weapons.

On Ahazi, just SW of Tyrena... I charge the following prices... I've a formula based on resource cost entirely, however, other things that really SHOULD be considered are: Number of combines (each combine has a chance of a crit failure, too, which costs a lot, especially for combines of combines), rarity of some resources used (ore is the primary resource in buildings, and you are lucky if you can find a spot over 50%... yes, they exist, but most are in unbuildable areas, etc... when you CAN find one, it is uber-mined and disappears quickly).

Small house (~3500 resources, 13 combines): 16,599 credits

Medium house (~21000 resources, 58 seperate combines): 99,899 credits

Large house (~37500 resources, 117 combines, requires struct factory): 189,649 credits

Because of lack of steel on the planet now, my prices have shifted a tiny bit higher (steel is weighted in my formula now, slightly... only makes the small house a couple hundred more)

I originally charge 15k for small houses, before I worked out the costs... I based my formula around small houses being about 15k, but really, I think they should be closer to 20-25k. However, no one is willing to pay that. Guess they are spoiled. If you scale my prices up to match what a small house costs in your area, the other numbers should be close... like, if a small house really WAS 25k, the prices would go:

Small house: 25,000

Medium: 120,367

Large: 228,506

I think those are probably the most fair prices for all concerned... probably, once the economy stabilizes, that is about where the prices will fall.

I'm an architect on wanderhome. Some of the prices up above make me wonder what the point of actually being an architect is. Whats the point in becoming an architect when you are selling the houses for less than you could sell the materials for ? I really don't understand it. At the very least houses should be sold for the same price as selling the materials seperately.

I am abit concerned with how architecture is panning out to be honest, it seems as if more money can be made from selling materials than actually assembling them into a structure.

Neptune Baizingstar (Star Sider Server aka DownSider) - Send me a tell of in game email if you are interested in a house or other gear. Im based just north of Mon Espa. Will be happy to send a Waypoint.

At any rate, I did the math of this one guyz so here is your cannon fodder. Many people have sent me HATEFUL tells in game about how 15K is WAY to much to charge for a House. I know this is NOT true. Secondly, I harvest ALOT of ORE and get some from freinds and still never enough. The BEST price on my server for ORE has been 750 units for 3K, that is EXPENSIVE and requires 12K of credits to have enough ore to make a house (not to mention all the other resources) Ok here is the Math:

Chem = 18

Ore=2860

Metal=960

Steel=50

Total of 3888 Resources for a house correct ? Ok, what do you think a fair price is for resources in the bazaar. Would you say that 5 credits is too much for a resource ? NO WAY, people sell resources for FAR beyond what they are worth. Its a supply and demmand market no less but bare with me. Lets say that you DID charge 5 credits per resource that would be 5 credits x 3888 is $19,440 credits ! That means houses go for 20K and thats if you DONT make a profit. Well, I sell mine for 15K since the REOURCE Nerf patch. And check this EVEN if you charged 4 credits per resource thats 4 x 3888 = 15,552 !!! I am charging LESS than 4 credits per resource fora house !!!! Remember guyz dont GIVE them out for free. You worked HARD for those resources and dont let ANYONE bully you about it !!! Other Artisans make 10 times resources for their items and people are HAPPY to pay that. If you dont hold out your prices the people will walk all over you. Thank you for your time,

How much does it cost to maintain a large house per real 24 hour day?

It really seems to vary per server and by planet. On Gorath in Theed, I'm laughed at if I try and sell a house for over 10k. Yet people will pay me 1500 for a torch and 2000 for a level 1 couch.

But then I went to Tatooine and they said houses were going for over 20K. It just depends on the local market. Things will even out eventually.
