**edit**?!?!? I just sat there and experimented on 10 medium miners to replace my patched pwned ones. So now my newly created ones are gonna get smacked down too?!?!?! This game is seriously starting to piss me off. Nothing they do is right........

SO you were able to experiment with the new patch, that's great news. I assume you were able to experiment the extraction rate as well the hopper size like we are now?

So all this patch does it fix the borked up deeds caused by today's patch, experimentation as we see it right now on the servers will stay the same?

Sorry to ask so many question, I just want to make sure I completely understand.

yes, I was able to experiment on both extraction AND hopper size

yes, but in order to fix any borked deeds, you need to make sure they are in deed form when they apply the patch. If they are deployed when the patch happens, they will remain borked.

Hey I might be just confused by all this- but I put all my harvestors down before the patch, and they are still running through the patch to now- I dont think the capacity changed but I suspect that the extraction is not as good- would I have to redeed these or since they were placed before the patch will they be ok? I got confused with all the posts and would like clarification- thanks.

Sneezy, thanks very much for this thread. It has done more to explain to me what the original intentions of the developers was in making the changes to harvesters than anything I've seen from any of the red names

I'm going to try to sum up what I've gathered from reading this thread. Please correct me in any errors!

The original intention of the developers was to introduce the ability for architects to improve on the baseline specification on harvesters through experimentation with high quality materials. The baseline specs are:

Personal harvester: 2 kg/hr extraction rate/25,000 unit hopper capacity

Medium harvester: 4 kg/hr extraction rate/50,000 unit hopper capacity

Heavy harvester: 7 kg/hr extraction rate/100,000 unit hopper capacity

Now, here's what Holo had to say about what went wrong in the patching process:

I'm asking about the commandos.

The answer on the harvesters is

It was reverted, but not all possible cases were caught. If the harvester deed was in the player's inventory at the time of the patch they were effected. We have a possible fix for this that we will be checking on TC shortly.

I'll see about this making it into the checklist post we're maintaining.

OK, this is what actually happened to me. I had 11 heavies deployed (2 accounts). The extraction rates and hopper sizes have remained unchanged on them. I had two more heavies stored in my house, which I tried to deploy last night. Both the extraction rates and hopper sizes were corrupted when I examined them after placement (I didn't know about the new feature of being able to get information on this by examining the deeds at the time).

I immediately picked these back up, so I should be ok for when the hotfix goes Live. What I'm getting from reading this is that both the patch and the hotfix effected/are going to effect harvesters in deeded form only.

You know, the player base could be a LOT more helpful if the developers would just include full information in their Patch Notes

Anyway, is any of the above incorrect?

This is so craptacular. You would think they'd cut us a little break after their total fark up and just give all deeds above average stats. I'm losing 10 newly experimented deeds now...........lame game

Not to be rude, but I thought this was common knowledge. It is already currently this way. All pre-patch harvs that were not redeeded still have the pre-patch values for pull rates as well as hopper sizes. All deeds had the new values. So, I would only assume that when they fixed the harvs, the exact same thing would occur but in the opposite way. In other words all post patch harvs would revert to pre-patch status.

I dunno, maybe it's just me. But, it makes sense. Got most of my info on this from the main SWG Disucussion forum. While it is a PAIN to dig through all the complaints, u will find that u get a lot of VITAL information very quickly from that board.

Fitz, I suspect your harvesters are fine the way they are. If they still have 4/50K (extraction/capacity) for mediums and 7/100K for heavies then the FIX will not affect you at all.

If they have BETTER stats then that, you'll want to deploy your harvesters to keep your better stats. If they have WORSE stats than that (ie, only 1.5K capacity on solars) then you'll want to make sure they are in Deed form when they put the fix on Live (probably tomorrow morning).
