Thread: Poll Sales
According to your definitions, poorly on both counts.
Of course, part of the reason might be that I'm selling only for a profit--so I price my goods at 5 cpu. This is usually undercut by someone else. Still, I'd rather be working for money that goes into my character's pocket than for peanuts.

hmmm 3 specially made this week.. 2 sold randomly off my vendor (bought the two off random people for a cheap price and resold at my normal 350k)
I sell craploads of medium houses (80k each) and small houses (15k each) a week.. Both from orders and just leaving them on my vendor... Large houses are only about 1-2 a week as people resell their old large houses because they realize the lot usage is too great for way cheaper than I would make them (i charge 180k for a large).
My vendor is in a high traffic area near Theed, I am on the global map, and I advertise alot on the Bria board though.. so i get a lot of orders normally.

I do OK with your ranking system. Was wondering how other architects advertise their wares so we all could benefit from very good methods. Also wondering how i can change my forum name, i hate it and want it gone.
Probably what does it for me is furniture. I keep an INCREDIBLY well stocked furniture vendor.. everything I can make in the game I put up on it. I advertise like nuts... 50% of my structure customers come from people who come to buy furniture since they know that my vendor has EVERYTHING and they dont have to shop around can get it all in one spot.. while they are there they order or buy a few more harvesters.. or return to me for orders... I get a lot of referals from this as well.
My shop is near a big city, also a city with the instant shuttle so people coming to shop only have the shuttle wait in one direction. This makes it conveinant for people to shop at my vendor.
Everytime i run thru town ill spam my advertising macro (dont get to town often anymore tho). And i post on the Bria boards when my vendor is restocked (furniture).
Furniture vendors are a pain at first.. but once u get them completely stocked, you only need to replace a few items a day (just open vendor, and sort alphabteically.. then start to craft the missing items from your tool). Of course now my vendor sells about 50-100 items a day... so maybe its a little too good advertising.. ouch my fingers.. make plants crate!

How are PA Hall sales for you? Good - Bad (Good being more than 2 per month, Bad being less)
How are Large house sales for you? Good - Bad (Good being more than 4 per month, bad being less)
I've sold two large houses since launch. One traded for the resources required to make it, the other for 200k. I've only received those two requests for larges.
PA Halls I received a LOT of requests for them. At least 2 per day from different people. I charged 1.5 million for a planet-specific, and 2 million for a generic. I didn't sell any, which was fine with me.
PA Halls - Bad
Large Houses - Bad
No one wants to use that many lots for so little storage space. I wind up selling several small houses and or a few medium houses in their place for more storage.
pa halls- horrible, only sold one since game started, only reason cause it was a loyal customer
large houses- poor sold 1, also to a loyal customer
harvesters-non-existant
small houses was good for a while, then people started asking me 3k for a small generic sound good?
sold a 2-3 med houses

PA halls and large houses are both very bad, since they cost so many lots.
and no, its not about pricings, ppl not even ask for them lately. most PAs are set and ppl found out that a large house wth 6 lot use gives only 250 items, then thez buz 2 small or medium hosues, safe 2 lots and get more items in.
here the feeding of the market started. requests going down much lately.
PA halls bad, get an inquiry about once a week, but decline to make them
Lg Houses good, 2-3 a week at 150k
Good on both counts. I sell an average of 2 PA's per month lately mostly to multiple account users who want to use them as huge houses. Large houses I do about4 per month. I sell at 3creds per resourse used(since I harvest all my own materials), except to guildmates(they pay 1.5cpu). Most of my money comes from experimented heavy and medium harvesters though, with some coming from factories and the rest in deco jobs.
I don't understand what the big struggle is. I make great money in an expanding customer base on a server that has has so many master architects on it you cant swing a cat without hitting one. I'm not stupid enough to think the market will stay like this for me forever but my reputation and satisfied customers keep me busier than I actually care to be. When cities go live I'll be run ragged by my PA city and at least one other. What I'm really waiting(hoping) for though is a furniture color palet and some more schematics. My willingness to make and place furniture has gained me more customers than anything else. Oh and by the way I only have one account and I borrow a couple lots from a friend and still pull enough resources up to more than handle a million credit per week business(before expenses).
