I would love to sell my premium heavies with a premium pricetag. Doesn't happen. On my server I sell BER 13's at 135k. I onced raised it to 150, they sat there for 10 days untouched. At 135k, I still get the occasional gripe that they cost to much, but I will not sell for less. I am seriously thinking of going out off the deed market and into the resource market. Much more to be had there ( & dang if I will ever understand that)

Sorry to disagree with everyone, but I don't think the profession is so screwed up. Money is good, as long as you don't make houses (I will only make these if people agree to pay my asking price, which is higher than the average market price, due to grinders). I can sell MediumsBER 10s 50k a shot as quick as I can make them and plug them on my vendor and if I have a bad combine, I can still sell the lower quality harvestor in a couple of days. I don't get as many orders for the heavy minerals any more, but that's fine, because they are a pain to make and the profit per resource unit is MUCH lower on Heavies anyway. Don't overlook furniture - it's a great way to make money. My biggest complaint these days, is I can't get online enough to keep my two vendors completely stocked. I have never (and will never) waste time in towns trying to sell stuff - that's the slowest way to do it.

So what are you saying that we all stop making heavy harvesters??? someone has got to make them man we cant live in a world where architects only sell houses!!!

First of all, it sounds like you need better tools and a better crafting station. Find a master artisan who can sell you a station with eff rating of 40+, and get a crafting tool with rating over 14.

Secondly, if you are going to make more than 5 of anything you experiment on, you should always do a factory run. You have to assume one might crit on creation, so you're gonna lose one anyway. And experimentation may fail, so go until you get a great one, and make it a schematic.

Then raise your prices to make up for the extra cost. Someone buying 7 mediums with BER 10, or 7 heavies with BER 13 needs to be willing to pay a premium for the convenience of getting them all with top stats.

Fisrt of all Im using THE BEST TOOLS +43.10 station and 14.52 tool so thats not it. friggin station was made with 1000 conductivity coppper.

Second, i dont know about you but i cant go around making schematics for heavy harvesters that woud EASY jack up the cost of making a factory run of 5 by 30k more on each harvester easy.

Third iether you dont play and architect or you dont sell anything if you did you'd know that if you even DARED hike the price your stuff would not sell so ur stuck in a catch 22 if you dont do schematics you dont get BER13 but if you do schematics you dont sell because ur harvesters would en up costing 150 -180k so ur screwed either way!

And fourth PPL dont realize that 13 BER harvesters are top stats they think thats "how they are" and anyone selling less BER is either a noob using crap or trying to scam you so they dont expect to pay more, thus again getting you screwed!

If devs dont fix this soon im going to go mad lucky for me this is not my primary character but i cannot begin to imagine your frustration if this was your main char.

I have replied in this thread before. I only use afactory for GTs, Bricks, Walls, Powercores, etc, etc. I do my final assemblys by hand. Like I said, I am not a volume dealer. Up until 4 or 5 days ago, it was not a problem. And then it all came crashing down. That is the reason for my post "My turn in the barrel" As for the poster that talks about money, I have no money problems. The credits in my bank account are enough to drop architect and not miss a beat. My liquid assets, even at used prices, are well over a couple million credits. It is not about money. It is about something being screwed up. I guess I was one of the lucky ones, until a few days ago. (shrugs).

I'd rather waste 1-2 harvesters to make a schematic and then pump out 5 perfect BER 13's then make a 13, 13, failure, 11, 13, failure 13.... Maybe you don't need those 5 harvesters today but you'll probably need them eventually.

If you can afford it then you should definitely use schematics on harvesters now. It will pay for itself after making only a few and then you have the ability to crank out as many perfect harvesters as you can sell without failures. Given the situation as it is, this is the best option. Otherwise you're always going to get the mix of crit failures and poor experimentation results.

I have experienced all of these problems and more. The latest round of which has absolutely devastated my sales base and left me with near zero money. I am also only a 4/4/4/4 part-time architect so any seemingly-simple bug has a tendency to hit me harder than most (because of the low amount of backup stock and resources I generally work with and can recover from).

What happened to me recently (and I am suspecting quite a few of the archies out there), is a combination of the vendor bug and a new bug that resulted when they tried to fix the original vendor bug. By returning some of the items we had lost from the vendor they temporarily exceeded the maximum number of items a character could normally carry. In my case I was90 items over my max. The problem is, evenwhen you got rid of these new items (or deleted them as I did because my BER 6 medium harvesters turned into BER 4s) it never got rid of the encumbrance error that stated "your inventory is full". You could visibly be below the maximum number of items allowable AND STILL GET THIS ERROR with no work-around.

Well no big deal you say, but try traveling without being able to purchase a ticket or sell something without having it in your inventory (or even the vendor because you no longer trust it). These two new bugs (combined with all the harvester and crafting problems we still have) has just ended any hopes I had of making this a serious profession.

And I actually consider myself lucky too, as I was at least able to pay mybuddies back with all the BER 4 harvesters and high-qual tools I have been crafting lately. I feel worse for the novice to intermediate architects who have now decided to end this profession or play an entirely different game.

This is my first real MMORPG, but certainly not my first OG, RPG or even MORPG. I am what you would call an old-school programmer and RPG board game player, so I usually feel I havemore patience andseniority than your average SWG player (My first computer RPG game was rogue for those of you who even remember this). However, lately, I am seriously starting to question the ability of this company and developmentteam to identify and correct the problems at hand. Larger still, I no longer trust their motivations (even if something is fixed completely) or their logic (when they nerf something again, which had been nerfed before, based upon something that was arguably already broken to begin with, etc)

So my question is, is this NORMAL for a MMORPG to be this bug-ridden, broken, nerfed to hell and largely undocumented? I would like to start seeing changes from the devers well-documented like: altered AI of creatures this week to attack you even though your 3 ATSTs and three pets attacked him first. Or even better: reduced credit loot or holocron drop due to serious abuse. These hidden changes are important to know about before that rancor swallows you or before you go hunting 500 NPCs for specific loot.

So my second question: is this lack of communicationwith all these major HIDDEN changes normal for a MMORPG? If so, I am going back to my blasted custom counter-strike server.

Howdy Fire.... Unforetunately this is my primary character....Im loading up on Arch stuff now so when I drop Master Arch and Master Artisan I'll have ALOT of stuff to keep selling and everything I'll ever need...However, Im no longer making any harvesters for anyone...I have all that I need personally...just a waste of time to make em now....I had another critical failure last nite when I went to make a fiber panel so as to make some one a pair of pants...What a joke this has gotten to be..... Let see Fiberpanel. Ummmm 8 Fiberclast and 2 metal...LMAO!!

On the positive side: There will be one less Master Arch on Wanderhome so the other folks can pick up my sales unless someone in my guild decides to go Master Arch....

Happy Trails.

hehe...my cable modem flew across the room after my 2nd guild hall crit fail in a row. and before some nit comes along and post something stupid. yes, i am a master artisan. yes, i am mon cal.

so far, 2 CF of7 guildhalls made. 3 CF of 5 city halls made. gotta love those stats. i'm not even bothering to make heavies anymore. i'll stick with my BER 10 meds and just throw away (equivalent to crit fail?) all those pre-patch BER 7 heavies. lol, without the CF's i could've easily bought 4 holocrons.

btw, so far i have yet to notice any difference in CF rates making novice architect stuff as a novice architect or as a master architect. if i get bored like that surveying guy in the artisan forums, i might just plug some numbers next time... oh and perhaps try to make some money to get those insanely expensive skill tapes.

or...go back to full time playing AO...

i'm novice Twilek i've only had one critical on a major project (ok so it was a house).

Hmmm making them buy hand you should be anoyed with the outcome. Try making one and then going for schematic not prototype. I bet you will be happy with the results.
