Thread: Containers
We can't make container. We can make chests which are pretty much useless, much like all the other furniture we craft, and serves no purpose other than to look pretty. ![]()
There was a bug or something with the Locked Containers that was an exploit, or something.
Tailors can make usable Containers, try their forum.
I used to use locked containers for storage, because they looked nicer than the backpacks.
As of "El Patcho Grande" a couple weeks ago I can remove items from, but not put items into, my containers when they're sitting in my workshop.
I've been told, but didn't get a chance to mess with it last night, that you CAN put items into it if it's in your personal inventory and then drop it. If true, I'll be useing this to hold things like weapon powerups for the guys that share my house, that is, items that people need to take out of the container, but not put things in.
Because I still like them better than the floating bakcpacks. ![]()
I've just got some containers (they are not locked) but I dont have permisson to put things in them.... why not?
You can (or could). There seems to be a bug recently that you can't put things into sliced containers. I was doing it for a while though, putting all the cdef garbage into an empty container for slicing when i hit slicing 2. Dont' know what happened to bug it though but recently I found I couldn't put things in anymore.
Either way know that it only cleans up the look of your inventory, it doesn't actually give you any extra space. Only equipped container items (like travel packs) actually give you more room to store things.
