When I first dropped my crafting station, I couldn't get it to work. I finally picked it up and dropped it again later in the day and it works (but I have to be onone specific corner of it).

I suspect the location (wall) in the house has something to do with how close you need to stand to it. Some you can just be near it and it works, others, you have to be in one spot to make it work. Strange, but keep trying.

When all else fails, buy a droid, mine works great. Take him out and your ready to work and they have a much larger range it seems.

Private crafting stations show up as deeds, correct? I'm having a hard time finding one (weapon/droid/generic) on Starsider. What skill must a person obtain in order to make one?

Crafting stations are not a deeded item. I don't remember the exact skill tree, but crafting stations are made by the Architect profession.

Or, you can find a Droid Engineer and get a droid with one built in. It doesn't have the hopper sapce of a private station, but you can bring it with you anywhere!

They aren't deeds, they're actual items. I'm not sure what vendor category they show up in, furniture maybe?

Anyway, private crafting stations are created by architects, I'm pretty sure the W/D/G one is a Novice arch schematic.
