By all means, put in both a /bug and a CSR ticket. They need to know who this is hitting to they can figure out the pattern.

I ran 50 minerals last night, they went fine, so did the walls in one of my other factories, and they have been running over 3 days in total, and 102 omus in the 3rd went ok as well (except of course no crates still)

I have this problem all the time. I have to constantly check it and restart it. The production runs vary....sometimes 2 items, sometimes 350 or more, but it usually shuts down at least several times in a full run of 1000 items. I've reported it. I'm sure it is low priority to fix, so I'm not expecting that anything will change anytime soon.

Are you having this issue?:
Q-4.1: My factory is giving me an ""@system_msg:manf_error_7" message and is not finishing the schematic run. What do I do?
Unfortunately this is a known bug. Mostly it seems to happen when the output and/or input hoppers are mostly full. If it occurs you can usually get past it by removing items from the factory's output hopper. Some people have reported that redeeding the factory helps. Some people believe that experimenting on the factory's storage rating during creation of the factory deed helps avoid this.
