I agree, the unit and lot limit is particularly hard on crafters like myself. As an architect I need a lot of extractors to get the volume of resources I need to build things. I need a place to store this junk. Sure I can store it in my factory, but that's not exactly close at hand considering my workshop is a side room in my medium house. I store most of my resources in a backpack in my house, but now that pack is starting to overflow despite my efforts to whittle it down.
Likewise, with only 10 lots, it's hard to have a house, factory, then the extractors needed to get a high volume of resources and the energy to run them. I always end up getting friends to let me use some of their free lots, which is a hassle.
Despite the constraints, I really see a gold mine in extra services here that SOE is simply ignoring. A lot of people are clamoring for more space in their homes, or more lots to work with. So why not offer these things? They could do something so simple as add a 50 unit limit for housing storage for 5 dollars a month, or add more available lots for a few bucks a month. This would more than offset the cost of data storage because I know a LOT of people would take advantage of this. Maybe with the extra revenue they could hire more developers to fix some of the bugs in the game.

I agree that the storage sucks with house's and banks, The crate and cabinet idea ofadding more space isreally good. Paying for additional space is also another great idea. I know i would pay an extra fee a month for more lots, (7 more lots for 5$ a month is resonable) Im thinking of even Paying for another account just so i can get those extra lots (downloading 14 day trial as i type).
On the other hand SWG is the most expensive MMORG out there, getting hardware or maintaining itshouldnt be a problem.
I also think you should be able to open a safty deposit box on each planet.

Agreed 100%. I would gladly pay a few extra dollar per month for some extra lots.

First go get you some travel packs label them and place them on a vendor...i have one vendor in my house that is holding over 8 packs full of stuff and it's sitting in a small house. Let me know how that works for you.
Yeah, but it's like everything else in this game.... if you don't stay on top of the "time" it expires, you are tost and our stuff is gone. Just from rumors, if your items on the vendor expire a certain amount of time, they dissappear.

They could free up a ton of dataspace for us to have more storage if theygot rid of all the differing versions of the same resources. Why do we need hundreds of versions of steel when a single version called "steel" would work just as well? There are other ways they could make crafting results diverse besides clogging the database with infinate versions of a single resource.

I just did a cross server lot swap. I put down a half dozen factories and a couple houses. Now I have more storage than I know what to do with. As long as they're gonna allow cross server lot swaps you should have no problem with storage.

I agree completely, they should either raise the number of items in a house or give us more lots...
For a small house it should be150 items, medium 200, and large 300...that way we don't need like 3 houses just for storage...somethin like that. The devs are givin us all this loot crap, theres nowhere to put it....I just boughta large house for storage because my small one is packed.

You might want to re-think that move. A large house takes up 6 lots, but a small house only takes up 2. You could have 3 small houses for the same number of lots as a large house, and get 450 units of storage. Your large house only gives you 250 units for your 6 lots.

Be very careful when doing cross server lot trades. these trades are 100% non-supported by SOE.
If you place items in a house owned by another player, those items then BELONG to that player, at least in the CSR's opinions.
The items stored in a cross server house can be removed, used, sold or deleted as the owner so chooses.
The house can be deleted at any time, along with all items.
The character that owns the house could be deleted at any time and the house disappear.
And finally, the character that owns the house could get permabanned and the house disappear.
If you store items in a cross server house, I strongly reccomend storing those items that have little or no value and could be easily replaced. And if thats the case, whats the point in saving those items?
The best soulution to storage problems is to have a vendor, put your items into packs and place them on the vendor at ridiculus prices. Yes, you will have to pull the items out of the stockroom every so often and place them back on the vendor, but thats better than lossing a house full of items to a shady cross server trader.
