Its some pretty awsome creativity and has definately inspired me to think about what I can create using existing items.

Aye I have made something similar in my large house. This one posted here is very nice, and uses a few techniques i had not thought of. (the ground is very well done)

What I did different:

Used chests in top and bottom, used dining tables as a roof over the structure, chests on top edge hide the legs from table, and table has both above and below viewable planes so it does look liek a top to the tank. Tho, the couch / love seat idea for a roof does havea cool shape.

Also I made a mon cal vendor and stuck him in the middle of it, with add barking enabled to call out "Please dont tap on the glass, my wife is asleep in the plastic house" heh heh

But in answer to someones post about what other items can be made, I have made custom tables, fireplaces, fish tanks, Pet Stalls, Juke boxes, TVsand turned a large naboo house's main room into 6 separate rooms smaller rooms. You CAN do alot with whats there.

BUT one thing i have noticed is the lack of underneath textures. Meaning if you drop an item on the stairs and then look up at it from below, parts go invisable. What this tells me is either they will not put in a lift command as things would look like crap without recoding them, or they may put in a limited one for certain items. A lift command would make life SO much easier heh heh.

Bravo to whoever made this tank in the pics, its very nice, and i hope you dont mind if i rip off your idea about the tables for the ground heh heh it looks much better then mine.

Oh yeah, i also put in 500 units of water, as someone once told me " there's no water in it".. well now there is.

I would pay someone real life money to come to Lowca and set that effect up for me in my guild hall, that is just too cool.

thanks for the compliments! Yeah, thats my fishtank. I also had 2 commissions to make fishtanks for others and they offered me 100k each. At 3-4 hours construction time, thats a pretty good price. I have screens of them I will post soon. the construction is...

newbie level chests at the bottom labelled "aquarium" turned backwards.

top is made from large orange couches turned inward labelled "aquarium"

aquarium bottom is made from those cheap dirty looking cafe tables labelled "gravel"

rocks are made from large and small tool chests turned around at odd anglesand labelled "rock"

torches are embeded in the large chests and labelled "bubbles"

When I finished this one, the corner did not look right, so I added a couple staves to make it look like a corner. (what a pain it was to get THEM to line up!)

I also added touches like plants and a woven basket to dress it up.

You may also notice that glass table. On this is a couple jars of fish food and a curious bearded jax.

On my commissions I add the glass table and change the name to "Aquarium by Sal Po'Ryn of SalSlak Corp"

The hardest part of building these is getting the aquarium elements to line up exactly, because I'm too much of a perfectionist to not have them line up right.

A couple hints...

if you use the round cafe tables for your aquarium bottom, start at the floor level and drop a couple, then walk SLIGHTLY (barely tap your arrow key up the stair)up the stairs and drop a few more, so you have tables on a few different levels, but not higher than the top of the chests. A tiny variation is all you need.this gives a rolling look to the aquarium bottom. Also drop rocks at different levels as long as their bottom does not go above the height of the cafe tables.

Add neat items to the aquarium floor like baskets and such.

Use plants to cover cracks in your "gravel", just keep their pots below ground.

Don't over-do the fish! Large fish should not have more than one or two of a breed in a single tank. The fish with the big lower lip (Laa I think) looks good lurking in the shadows. Mine is hiding between 2 plants about to pounce on a school of black fish. Blow fish are loners. More than one to a tank looks too much, unless its a really large tank. Black fish and blue fish look really good in schools. 5-8 is a good school size.

I'm open for questions and after I do some fishing, I'll be ready for more commissions. Every tank I do is different from any others and for the 100k you get all the components custom named and several fish. Included in that price is a second setup if you move your house and teaching you how to add fish if you need it. If youre a do it yourselfer, I'll be happy to give advice.

This is another great example of how the community of a game can make it better. Thanks for posting the instructions for how you made this amazing creation. It's an inspiration to those of us who hadn't even thought of putting torches inside of other lights to make new lights.

I may try this in my own house but I'd probably feel guilty selling these to other people. Not because it's not worth the effort, but because I wouldn't want to copy such an original idea and make money off of it.
