Thread: Packing up and moving.....

I love this feature, and I hope it is the pre-cursor to getting rid of all the abandoned and condemned structures. The house should auto-pack once it has been condemned for 1 week. I recall something a while ago about something they wanted to get in, where if a hose was destroyed through lack of maint, or cancelled account, all the items in the house would go in the persons Bank, and all the items on any vendor in the house would go into the Vendor-Owners bank. Maybe this is the first step. Maybe they wanna make sure this works well before putting in the vendor stuff, and then FINALLY doing the character purge.
Don't vendors disappear after a length of time. Items drop from sale after 30 days, stay in stock room 60 days, then vendor goes poof. House auto packs itself up.
all they need to sort out is all the comdemed harvesters and factories out there.
Check the details in the original message. As the feature stands now, the packed-up house cannot be traded or deleted. No trade pretty much means no spammers, as far as I can determine.
Saego, Wanderhome.
You can't trade the deed, but you can deploy it and /transferstructure... Sales will still occur - and they should! This will be great for players who aren't as interested in combat or Jedi (which is, what? 5% hehe). There is the potential for scamming though as no secure transaction can take place for this - somewhat similar to slicing, I would imagine. Just make sure you trust who you're selling to/buying from. ![]()

Does a packed house stil take up a lot space?
No. They removed it from TC.
I seem to recall this being an idea fairly recently. So doesn't this allow you to store a great of stuff?
From yesterday's TC patch notes:
House Packup
- Disabled the House Packup system.

Heh I would have thought it was obvious from how the idea worked to see you could store a whole lot of stuff without using vendors or any lots.
Well, it still took lots and you couldn't pack up a house with any vendors in it.
The problem was that you had to have an equivalent number of free lots to put the house back down BUT you didn't get those lots back when you packed up.
2 large houses leave you with no lots free.
Pack up both and still have no lots free.
However, you needed 5 free lots to unpack one of your houses.
You also couldn't pack up any building other than a house.
