Thread: Critical Failures now gone for us?
I did use the..
/nextcraftstage x 3
/createprototype
in a macro and it made the item for me. All I can say this has saved My sanity quite a few times when creating several large houses and heavy miners
From what I understand we can now just click on assemble as usual and it will create ot goto the next stage but can't be sure till I test it.

what you dont know is, people found a macro that allowed them to make the item anyway even in the event of a crit fail.
this is why it was fixed.
They nerfed that exploit in hotfix I believe a month ago or so.
Nope, I used it last night, and it's not an exploit, it's intended behaviour to work around the bug where you could not use the Assemble button again. This patch fix's that issue. Dont call something an exploit unless you know the issue.
Hmm, I'm talking about the macro that was first posted on a SWG exploit site that we,, exploited. It circumnavigated around a specific game mechanic (Crit Fails) for the purpose of furthering your toon (the macro I'm referring to was something like 4 /nextCraftingstage and some other commands). I'm not bashing anyone for using it, but a rose is a rose.
I have never felt like using it was an exploit. I use 2-part macros for crafting and have always used the second part (/ncs../ncs......) for non experimental items, after a while I realized that I had never had a cf when using this, then I read here on the boards that I can also use my macro to still get an item after a cf on the combine??? I was using a game feature, not an exploit. Being aware of this the devs, instead of cracking down, make it even more forgiving by allowing us to still experiment after a CF combine???
They knew about it, instead of nerfing it, they make it even easier???
There is no way you are going to convince me that this is an exploit.
This is from one of TH's post's
Now i knew about the /bug that let architects keep all thier materials in a crit fail and still make the item, but can you elaborate on this?
Says your taking that out but that the materials still won't be destroyed? Can the rest of us crafters get this too?
Can a Dev please clarify this patch note?
Architecture crafting is resource expensive. Now their resources should never be destroyed on a critical fail. The crit fail is for everyone. Its a risk and part of the process. This will not be given to other crafting professions.
You guys who crit on vehicles... uh that's artisian. TH is talking about Architect.
This is definitely fixed and a nice boost. If you are making ARCHITECT things, then the crit fail on BUILD is gone. You still get the message but you just press Assemble again without losing any materials. Crafting other stuff (like vehicles) is working as intended and you cannot use the old "fix" either.
Of course you can still fail the experimentation points.

***I was using 800 range materials and got a jaw dropping 4 amazing success's in experimentation out of 6 clicks on my 1st schematic. ****
On a vehicle? how did you get 4 amazings? Are you just experimenting one bubble at a time or something? Not like an amazing success makes any difference on the max experimentation of anything. I mean even with grreats I'll max out after 2 or 3 tries.
