Sounds like you did right.

Instead of the lien system what about straight bank loans........

Borrow 6k from bank each weeks end you pay 5% of total which has a 3% interest added to it. SOE just removes it from you account. Miss a payment loose 10% penelty added to your bill miss 3 and a Bounty Mission is put up for you. Now there are Players out to Kill you.

It would be a money drain which is alway's need it could add to PvP and helps out buying big items which helps the economy. They're should be things like only borrow from bank you've joined if you default you loose any items in safety deposit box you may pay off early as a option on bank but you'll only save 1%. things like this.

Well have fun.

Think about it like this...I arrange tha same payment plan with you. I give you the first 60k and you give me the PA Hall. I then give the hall to my buddy. I delete my character. Create a new one on the same Galaxy and my buddy gives my the PA hall deed back. Hmm, nice cheep PA hall. You being the seller would be looking for a deleted character for payment. Ouch. No thanks. Unless you give me the money, I not give you the hall.

I think this problem is going to start coming up more often once the player city and vehicles come out. The Urban Planner is going to require mass amounts or resources. Probably more than the PA halls. So it's going to be expensive. Vehicles will probably be in the 100k range with star ships even higher as shipwright is probably also going to be an elite-elite class. So a lien system may be worth working out. The timing part is already worked out. It would just have to be modified from the existing one with harvestors. Put in the time alloted in hours and it starts counting down. You have 240hrs to pay the loan or something like that. Also put in a surcharge like a bank tip to pull some of the money out of the game. It would work. If you delete a character that has a lien then the item would revert to the seller. You would also have to make the item either untradeable until the lien is paid or have the lien follow the item. The last of course would require some kind of notification that a lien is present. Otherwise you would have people buying on a lien then selling without telling anyone and that person would be shafted.

Stepped out of the Naboo starport and into the middle of the rant fest you described. It was quite entertaining, and your "customer" made quite an A$$ out of herself.

You did the right thing. She would never have paid you.

I never ask for credit, and I don't extend it. Clean cash transactions, the only way to go.

Do you play on Starsider? If so I would appreciate the name so I could watch myself in the future.

She might offer me a payment plan for Composite lol.

No I play on Wanderhome. It got more interesting today-she started off as soon as I logged on so when I went around trying to sell it I mentioned who ahd backed out of it.

I then got tells telling me that she was reporting me, and that she was freinds with several CSR's and they would ban me. Blah! No fun at all. Then one of her freinds tried to determine what was going on, and eventually he said I seemed liek a nice guy. LOL. Anyways I got disgusted with it all, and sold it dirt cheap to a roleplayer I had met earlier-AND on a payment plan! Why? Cause I like roleplayers for one. And well.....he paid enough in advance that I could get back on my feet. But he got a HECK of a deal on a pa hall!

Gah the CSR freind claim just was amazingly stupid of her. I /reported it then opened a help ticket saying I had reported her for trying to intimidate me by claiming she had CSR freinds and had reported me. The thing is-what had she /reported? Im on her ignore list. Its not like I have said anything TO her or anything. Simply amazing.

Wow, thats quite an experience. Maybe I'm just used to dealing with spoiled brats but I would have put that beeotch on ignore the minute she mistelled. But then again, I'm a woman and I dont have the patience for little girls who like to lie and use boys. She sounds like a real winner for sure...she is going to make some geek very happy someday...lol...right.

I recently talked with a weaponsmith and he agreed to make some weapons out components I had. Two of the components were acklay bones that were 73/94. I asked to have powerhammers made from them. I went to pick them up today and looked at the powerhammers.

The stats on one was:

Speed: 5.4
Min: 170
Max: 596

range mods all -31

H: 116
A: 37
M: 25

The other was exactly the same except the damage was 165/579.

Both were sliced.

What bothers me about this is I've never seen an acklay hammer on my server with a speed of less than 6.0 and the fact that they were both sliced. The damages on these hammers are higher than they should be if they just happened to get the same % speed slice. I expected them to be in the low 500s on damage, these have obviously been sliced for damage. Is it possible to get the speed of acklay hammers down to 5.4 without a slice?

Most normal crafted hammers have a speed of 5.4-5.6 on my server. To me these look like normal hammers with a very good damage slice. He didn't tell me anything about having a crit. failure on assembly with the bones or experimentation going wrong.

My question is should I confront him about this? I have a feeling he just stole the bones and gave me some very well sliced normal hammers hoping I wouldn't notice. The other possibility is he messed up somewhere in crafting and was too embarassed to tell me. I think from now on, I will ask that the weapons not be sliced at all.

Any advice on this situation?

On our server we have 1000ut iron, and very good copper. Best hammers possible are 5.3/470. Basically you got screwed guranteed. Sounds like he probably used Geo cores on it to help increase the range a little bit and still get the damage up, Should still end up near the same speeds depending on his resources and could easily get into that damage range with a slice. A reputable WS will never slice a weapon for you without at least checking with you first. You got screwed it's up to you if you want to confront him or not but either way find a different smith for future crafting. An acklay Hammer will always come out to roughly 5.9-6.0 speeds. Which means under no circumstances was it possible that your hammers were made with Acklay bones period.

My Acklay Hammers are usually 5.9 or 6.0 speed with -40/-40/-40 accuracy. My normal hammers are 5.3 or 5.4 speed with -28/-28/-28 accuracy. Also, those HAM costs look pretty close to the HAM costs for a standard hammer. It looks to me like he gave younormal power hammers with good damage slices. I'd confront him about it, and if you don't get any satisfaction that way, take it to your server's forum and present your evidence there.

easy way to tell if it is acklay or not, is to look at the mind cost. Most normal hammers have around 25 mind cost, where acklay will have around 13.

When you confront him about it, to be mean. It could have been a simple mistake of putting someone else's order in your bag.
