Thread: SECRETS Exposed...Making +98% effective...
is a 98% gun that does 12-50 better than a 77% gun that does 24-100?
the percentage you get in the combine means nothing if the stats are lower.
If the other guy is right with the developers saying it adds a +15% bonus (bonus to what??), if effectiveness, then it would increase the effectiveness by a maximum 115%. Otherwise, it becomes more functional or useful by adding a hopper.
Can anyone actually point to the actual developers thread? I know we all have our hard-earned opinions, but is there any real word from devs that actually anyone can point a link to?

Man... You guys aren't getting this and are just being rude...
How is something that is 98% effectiveness more effective than another item with 98% effectiveness?
Example:
I have a pencil. The lead in it writes 98% effectively. However it doesn't have an eraser so it only is 15 functionable.
I have another pencil. The lead in it writes 98% effectively. This pencil has an eraser so it can erase mistakes. So its functionality is higher.
The pencils still write with the same effectiveness.
I can make another example using crayons if this doesn't make sense.
Yes absolutely....whats up here?
You CANNOT make a station without a hopper greater than 15.0.
14.55 is 98% enhanced effectiveness. Point your insulting finger elsewhere. I'm selling ore, I quit the selling business (read first thread).
You still havent answered the questions. You've just made the UNsubstatiated claim that a 'functionality' rating means 'tool effectiveness'.The same as a CraftingTOOL actually states 'tool effectiveness' while the STATION actually states 'functionality rating'.
or have you pointed out this Developers Thread. Mine *asks* the questions. Until you can actually show otherwise, its your opinion. And one that does not mathematically add up.
::: This is my last response, it sounds to me like you people are telling other people that a station with a hopper is in fact more *effective* than one without. Just by forcing your word. Where is the link? Where is, even the math? or the logic? :::
The question still stands.
and the answer still stares you in the face.
four-tee five is high-er than 15. It is a big-ger num-ber.
Let's clear some of this up here.
First - Conductivity is the sole resource for calculating experimentation effectiveness. Remove the tens digit and you have the final experimental value:
- i.e. 999 conductivity = 99%
- i.e. 980 conductivity = 98%
Yes that's all there is to experimentaion. However, even at 999 materials for conductivity and full experimental points (10 total), the highest value you will get on any crafting station is 14.96999.
Let me say it again - (+14.96999).
Once you add optional components you can go higher. There are plenty of guides that have been written by others and I wrote one that is still in the guides section (or was) and it was written 1 week after the game came out.
However, does it really matter that one person wanted to share his or her knowledge with the rest of us? I don't think it does. I think it was just the title of your thread post that has people double-checking you. It's not a secret and you aren't exposing anything about it other than your naivety towards believing it.
My two cents.
skipping the fact I'm aruging here with 2 of the same people (I'm from sunrunner).
rela, pikachewey, rek, and scores of others all make 40+ stations.
theres a thread on sunrunner about you scamming people by selling them +15 stations claming they are 'just as good'
which explains your inability to understand this.
I am certainly Not saying that at all. And I appreciate the time you took to respond.
This is what I've been saying:

I said nothing of the sort that over 15 is moot and useless.

... I said in the first thread:
" Asking again, Does the 'functionality rating' of 42+ make it more effective? I doubt it since you can crit fail on the effectiveness (try it!) but still add an input hopper and still Exceed a rating of 15+. Not logical)
Does it make it more 'Functional'? Absolutely.
As to the title...thats to all the folks who have sent me tells asking. And there have been hundreds.
Now, I am absolutely done replying to this thread.
You abused one of my guildmates sent out on a simple errand to collect a good station by reporting her to the CSRs for scamming and calling her amoronwhen she asked why your 98% stations weren't 40+. Fine, she's a little more timid now, but no harm done.
I'm out the price of 4 stations which are totally useless. Fine. Money isn't really a problem in this game.
but I draw the line at anyone with 35 posts that expects to be unveiling 'secret information', and cluttering up the one place in the entire game relatively free from BS and bad information (this forum) It's insulting to me that your post is nothing but a thinly veiled wrapper around your personal rationale for scamming people by telling them that your 15(max) stations are just as good as other's 45(max) stations and even when it's brought up here that there *IS* a difference you try and defend yourself by using 2 accounts.
I have no problem with you selling whatever you want, buyer beware, etc, but you go out of your way to tell people that there is no difference I find that practice disgusting and irresponsible.
