i can see bridges might be a problem but steps... anyways i also don't really get what you are trying to say about the pavement, its really needed in my opinion (btw those aren't numbered in importance) because it makes the city look better etc.

yah... good point, i would gladly wait for the time it takes to program all of that in though.

they could do it like they do with camps and homes, where the terrain changes to accomodate to the camp/house so that making bridges wouldn't be as hard.

as for steps, they make some system where you select one distance and then the ending distance and then it creates however many steps it takes to get there and put it in different sections if it is really long.

you could do the points with the overhead display and if you wanted to change direction with the stairs you just select where you want it to turn and it will just calculate the height you wanted to go and go halfway up one way and then turn for the other half. i can elaborate if needed...

And you honestly think that something that elaborate would be an easy add on? That is why it is going to be months away. Same with bridges. I mean yes I would love to have them right now, however if it means altering my landscape to drop one (and mine will pass over crevasses) then I don't want it. Make them right the first time. No more live beta testing.

I agree with other suggestions on pavers, or some way to make player cities look more like NPC cities (and more like cities as opposed to fields with scattered buildings).

Anew kind of disposable harvester that produced only totally generic resources, but could be placed anywhere. Example: a fusion reactor that produced 500PE radioactives that had no class, no other stats, "unknown radioactive" but produced at a steady rate for a set time period and then disappeared?

On the plus side it's disposable, so it produces an income stream. It's attractive, since it requires no % anywhere. It poses dangers, because it is outside of the current resources scheme and could unbalance things. However, so long as item classes where these harvesters are permitted are limited (so power might have been a bad example), they will not have much effect because "unknown" this and that isn't all that useful, and cannot be used at all in many things due to the lack of stats. Anyway, just an idea.

As for the GCW, again, let us make things that last only a certain period of time, no matter what. Turrets or other buildable GCW items, that cannot be moved and come down in 30 days (or a week), no matter what. Disposable things also have the advantage that they can be destroyed by the enemy without ruining the day of the guy who placed them.

I'd like to see some gardens, not the building-type structures we have now, but just a formal arrangement of existing flora which takes up a space and flattens the ground. These again could be disposable. A 3x3 square of such gardens would be cool IMHO, and they really dont require much artwork, just use the plants and trees that exist on the planet already. OTOH unlike the current terrain these might add alot of lag as they are "structures" and not part of the algorithm.

I want to see more cool stuff for indoors. Again, I'd suggest making them disposable. I want fishtanks, and more ways to customize the house. Paintings would be great as well, I have seen them in-game, and either archs or artisans should be able to add them. Let's face it, people really like decorating their houses.

How about specialized harvesters? Harvesters which work at a higher BER, or lower initial cost, but which only work on one type of resource (like LGO or Steel)? Again, making these better than existing Harvs would allow you to introduce irreparabledecay into the harvs without a player revolt. Granted, the limitations might not be all that effective (lots of players only want one thing as it is), so you cannot make the BER too much higher without seriouslyaffecting game balance.

Powerups for harvesters wouldn't be bad, but IMHO they affect game balance and resource balance as much as my ideas for changes in harvesters, without really providing a significant long-term income stream. Simply put - you can't make these be worthwhile and stil cost enough to make them mean much to us

well instead they could just make like 3 different sizes for steps at the momentand if it doesnt fit your slope, you add them together...

This is my personal opinion on this subject (not a summary of everyone elses idea)

As far as the GCW goes I think that all faction structures should be craftable. Joe Someone goes to the Faction Recruiter, Buys his Schematic and then gives/sells to an Architect that then builds the deed.(renewable income) As for New GCW items things like Defense Towers (one person can go up it gives offensive bonus(sniper tower)(has to be placed so many meters from a existing faction base). Gates that could become part of Base adding something that has to be destroyed before entry can be achieved(these two would share "hot" timers as the base and only be attackable when the base is "hot") Alot of these components can also use the help of other crafting professions (turret needs weapon core from WS and Gate needs Shielding Panels from AS)

As far as the rest of our duties Goes.. More Variety is the key .. I am also a fan of Player City Specific houses to help promote living in a city .. More variety will just allow those that like to change styles actually an opportunity to do that.. Player Garages are coming.. pavement is important(although not sure if they are going to implement this as a craftable item).. Id love to build more of the Decorative buildings.. Like that Arch in Theed with the statues on top).. Also I see the ability of Terraforming as an ability an architect should be able to do ..(how I dont know ) ..

These are just some ideas that i have.. (and from reading alot of responses so far so do many of you)..
