I have been using:
Dere Duralloy steel (most duralloys have worked for me)
Sleogah Lubricating oil OQ-940-ish

That get's me a BER-14 every time. I have used a few different Extrusive ores for them, but that only seems to increase the hopper size on initial assembly. I use the same steel and some mid-grade Inert Gas for the OMU and can get them up to 94%.

To make Fusion 14 BERyou need to find good Stee, Chemical, and Aluminum or Copper With Good OQ, HR, and SR.

No, OQ has absolutely nothing to do with making a good fusion or harvester. Aluminum and copper are not necessary, and in fact are more likely to bring the quality down since most copper and aluminum are low in the requisite stats HR, SR and UT. Good chemical is not a requirement either, there are ways around the chemical issue.

Hoodrat - please do not take this as a flame, I appreciate you are trying to help, but really it would be much better if you learnt the trade or maybe spent some time reading through the other threads in this forum to find out some facts which have been tested by the architect community before posting incorrect information.

There are a number of useful threads that could help, the FAQ stickied at the top of the board will cover most general questions, there are also other useful threads which can be found which deal with specifics such as making harvesters and pricing of finished goods.

Search around a bit, you usually only need to go back a couple of pages to find the answers you need, but please start with the FAQ, that is why it is stickied

Just to follow up to my initial post, I've built about a dozen fusions now with my 97% OMUs. Doesn't matter what kind of success I get (well, except critical) I always get a BER14.

For info,

my latest BER 14 Fusions weremade with 92% OMU and following:

300 Steel HR916/SR859/UT870 (Quadranium Steel-Omniwaxalixesis)

950 Iron 943/842/835 (Doonium Iron-Acyk)

250 Ore 949/878/897 (Extrusive Ore - Quadrenium)

300 Lube Oil

Wow, you're still using that Omniwaxilisies? That hasn't been around for a LONG time.

That's right, I had about 1 mill of it, been using it up slowly as the 'second' steel when I use 950+ steel in the first slot, it helps me stretch the good stuff without a big hit on the quality. Iit's not quite good enough on it's own, unless using iwafate iron when metal is a big score, or a good duranium steel in biggest steel slot when you get the chance to use two steels.
