Title says it all can someone either tell me how or point me to a thread that says how to.

It's all grind-quality except 900-something hr/sr/ut steel.

More or less the same rules used for making a good BER 13 heavy mineral harvester apply for making a BER 14 fusion except that you don't get to experiment it any higher. It just pops out at BER 14.

You do need to have a good ore mining unit. It should be BER 6 and as high experiment as you can. I think 90% is about the borderline to get the BER14's on the fusion. Then like the last response said you will want about average of 900 on the materials used in final combine. You can cheap out a bit on the ore you use if your metal averages it out. Use Lub oil for the chemical and it won't be factored in (so you can use grind quality junk).

I have gotten BER14s using87% OMUs. The difference was the success level on build. A great success was a BER14 while a good success was a BER13.

I haven't tried building any yet using my 97% OMUs.

Using 96% OMUs I have got 14s regularly with metals in 880s, but I am mon cal so it is possible the +10 Structure Assembly could be helping me out.

I've generally been using OMU of about 90% and materials average stats about 900'ish.

I had planned to test this out, but 2 things are stopping me:

1. I am mon cal, so I am uncertain if the structure assembly bonus i have will skew the results.

2. Since we can't experiment BER then I am going to have to throw away a fusion when I reach the point where I achieve only 13 because nobody will buy it

It is actually nr 1 that is stopping me, I don't want to put something in the guide if it only applies to mon cals, perhaps there is somebody else out there who will run a dual test alongside me who is not mon cal ?

I recently mastered Arch and made my first BER 14 last night! I was so proud.

My OMUswere at 97%.

Your steel is the most important. UT and SR are big.

Then probably ore is next on the list, and use good chem.

Of course your ore mining unit should be of the best possible quality, use your best steel.

The other sub-components have no affect, so junky gennie turbines and storage modules are fine.

It's a 1-shot deal, there is no experimentation on efficiency, so once you know what resources get you 14, you're all set unless you have a bad combine.

Me too, on both accounts. That steel that's been spawning lately is just godly...

Yeah, when it rains it pours. Bria has a steel drought for a couple months, then we have three great duralloys in a row.

Don't need to use a good chem, just use lube oil or a liquid petrochem.
