I really hate this requirement. This has essentially made a new product and limited sales of the product to almost the SMALLEST element in society exclusively. One wonders at the logic here.
"We have this great new FEATURE for architects!"
"But you'll never get to sell more than 3 or 4!"
Please change this requirement to novice merchant. That makes more sense. I keep eff 4 for harvesting and quite a few other things. Not for the stupid tent.

3 or 4? - You must be doing something wrong... i've sold maybe 80 of these. I can't keep them in my vendor because i sell out too fast. - If i only had the tailor skills, i would sell maybe 6 a week.
What I did wrong was make Master about 1 week after they were out. By then, the SMALL potential market disappeared. I have access to all the tailors I want. I financed almost their entire crafting careers. But after cities hit, and after merchant tents that were needed were purchased, the market died abruptly. Eff 4 or Master Merchant is an excessive requirement for putting a tent down. Honestly, most people I know grind merchant up and drop it to novice to just get their vendors down and in place. What, it takes like 8 days with all your vendors down in an active place to get it back, so what!
I am keeping Master because of the benefits in managing 60+ harvestors.
If I made a product that only Master Chef's could buy would it matter then? If ANYONE in game can place a harvestor, why can't they place a tent? Makes no game or logical sense. Doesn't anyone see a problem with placing a LARGE HEAVY MINERAL MINING DEVICE and not being able to set up a tent?

Personally, I like the requirement. Everything else about merchant is so easily obtained. I like tht not every novice merchant can place these or they would lose any unique appeal.
Just mho.
I personally don't like the merchant tents. They don't show up on the overhead map and I find that bothersome.
I wasn't going to use them at all, but finding out they only take one lot has made them a bit more appealing.
Utopia.. I have sold my tents for 25-35k
Now I have a question? Someone mentioned 3 colors? why can I only show 2 colors (green or grey) I have seen brown tents.. hmmmm looks like I need to investigate this ![]()
MA, Eff 4 , nereve even looked at the sch for the tent. didnt think i could place it inside a city that was not a player city, so really didnt know if there was profit for meas far as my crafts being sold. if im wrong let me know.
Tents can be placed anywhere you can place a house. If in a PC, then you have to have zoning rights to place it.
The actual size of placement is larger than the actual footprint, so be aware of that. Guess the dev's didn't want tents crowding each other too much.
Takes 1 Lot, has 75 Storage btw.
