I stock two of every furniture piece and furniture accessory and four of every chair on two vendors in my shop. They don't sell enough to pay the bills but that is not their purpose. They are there so that if another player gets it in his mind to buy some furniture they can come to my shop and buy everything they need, or at least get a good start. I even have a vendor stocked with random loot to give a room a lived-in look. These vendors are for other players so that they have the option to decorate their house if they so desire. The Heavy Harvester vendor is for me. My big Ithorian acconts for about 98% of all incoming credits. He pays the bills and quite a bit more.

I will use candles and I will stock them as well but like all the other furniture I won't build a business around them. As far as renewable income goes, SOE already provides us with that, player turnover. Veterans quit and leave their heavies to burn or languish and new players join up and in time require their own fleet of heavies.

Nearly every major city has an architect of their own. No architect is going to be placing garages on their vendor. There are only a certain amount of cities and once eveyr city has a garage then thats that source of income gone again forever.

Man the glass is really half full for you isn't it?

I prefer thinking that the glas is ready for the vodka.

my glass that the devs gave me has small holes in the bottom. no matter how hard I work to fill it, it still comes out the bottom. The candles and lights just topped it up, for now.

lol....oh really...

lets see 10 cities per planet...20 architects per planent...

one time buy....no one uses the current garages as it is...

most city structures are built by the towns resident architect...

while having sold several city halls, i have sold about 1 hospital, 1 bar and a shuttle port....

i will make more money off of gradens than i ever will player garages

actaully it is....

i have some street lamps in one of my shops...it wasnt just a drop...

it took 10 -15 minutes a piece because they all dropped differently, facing different directions...sometimes move forward moves it right, sometimes back....

but the point is if you have say 5 lamps in a room its just a needless hassle to have to redo them every three weeks.

and you know word will get around that the architects demanded this decay...you know that is how Blunderheart will portray in 3 weeks when people start wondering why their lamps dont work...

This goes back to my biggest problem with the implementation of maintenance in SWG. It's not just a credit sink, it's also a time sink, and a big one. We can't remotely maintain harvesters or buildings, we have to find a garage to repair our vehicle, now we have to actually replace placed lighting fixtures when they burn out. At least they could have made it so that we could drop a new bulb item into the placed lamp! Even with the new /move up /move down functions, it's stilil going to be a hassle most players would rather avoid.

I am so totally in agreement with you.

i wil state again...

we should all be calling for DECAY to be removed from lights.....

what i predict is that the some dumb architect is going to start selling for 6000 a crate onthe bazaar and wreck the market forever..

I used to get between 15-25K for statues and fountains and could barely keep then on the vendor.

Then the idiots flooded the bazaar with them and i jsut refuse to make them and sell them for 6k...i could use those resources in something else and make more money.

one of our biggest problems as a profession is not out goods or decay but other architects. they price items outrageosly low.

I could easily have sold lamps for 1500 a pop but with the decay its now a 250 item that no one is going to want next month.

Those are not architects flooding the market, they are Jedi. Hate the Jedi, not the profession.

Ya you're right. It is pretty limited. But hey its more than a candle.

Not really, I'll at least probably sell a few candles. The chances of me selling a single garage are pretty slim.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that both are being added, but I still think that everyone would be better off without decay on the lights. Also, the garages are pointless until they fix the free repair bug on vehicles.
