Ok folks some of ya have it a little wrong.. Here is what happens and what is happening...
Currently : When you do a cross server lot trade, only the houses are removed from game when a character is deleted. Harvestors stay in game as long as someone puts in money and is on admin. Meaning (as an example) people from starsider could log into bloodfin, make a character, drop 10 harvs, delete character, make new char, drop 10 harvs, delete etc etc.
What is changing..
Only thing changing is that if a structure is owned by a deleted character, that structure goes bye bye. IF the character is not deleted, then the structures stay. So basically if your friend gave you 10 lots on a cross server trade and never deleted his char on your server, you are ok. But if he remade his char a few times or has since stopped playing you are in trouble.
actually in most cases If there is someone on admin all structures are staying.. Some do disapear when the code gets lucky and does the proper check .. but most cases its situations like the person above who legit had structure transerfed .. then code does check to see if original owner exists still and then poof..
But anyway yeah .. as of this patch it doesnt matter.. all now will go poof regardless of who is on admin..

Hate to tell you thins but its been this way for at least 1 month and a half, as we learned the hard way, had a player place Tactical center that was quiting the game, low and behold, they also deleted their character, Tact center was not there the next day.
So really this is old news. As long as they keep the character on your server you are good.
No the problem IS on other structures.. ( dont know if you can make anyone admin on a base..) if that person places someone who is still existing on admin then delete the structure is staying...
Agreed. This may be a huge boon to the architect harvesterbusiness.
We shall soon see.

Alternatively it could be a large kick in the cajones for resource buyers like us. I suspect i will be a bit of both, higher demand for harvesters as replacements, higher prices on resources due to scarcity. I hope you are all well stocked on both like me (which is more due to lack of sales than forward planning)
