Thread: Merchant Tents
Where are the Orc???
Hehe...I will reserve final judgement till they go live, but...I can't see that really adding much to my shop, especially costing one lot. This tent looks more like a standalone structure than I had thought from other posts that seemed to say tents would be store-front awnings.
Can vendors placed in these tents? Can these tents be set up away from any other structure? Thinking a nice advantage would be that a merchant could use these to set up a few 'shops' on different planets without using 2 lots per store. If that could be done, I could see value.
Thanks for the pic and info!

Of course you can put a vendor in there it would be kinda useless as a merchant tent if you couldn't. As far as I can tell you can put anything in there you could put in a house you just don't have room for much beyond a about 3 vendors and a small plant
These will be used to put merchants in the city square. They will allow you to get your vendor right next to the shuttle port or the cantina etc. For that matter imagine making a deal with a cantina owner to put in a bartender vendor behind their bar!!! There are some great possibilties with merchants with player cities I think.
...and SOE dit it again!BRAVO!
I wonder who is making this smart decisions...
Tents using 1 lot is really stupid, u wont see many architects selling in tents and how u can compare a small naboo house style 2 (uses 1 lot) with a small tent??? omg its insane!
With that logic perhaps u also should ask for 1 lot when someone makes a basic camp...unbelievable
A Naboo small house only allows 75 items in it?
I was under the impression that all small houses were 2 lots.
I believe they are all coated with MOB-B-Gone Brand MOB repellant.
I did not know that about the small naboo house. Well there is no lot advantage to having a tent for Naboo residents then but there is a much different look to the tent. It will (hopefully) become a sign that there is a vendor inside stocked with great merchandise.
You can't make the tent less than 1 lot! It takes up space and allows you to put items in it.
Are players going to be able to place their vendors in the merchant tents? Will a player, other than the mayor, even be able to place a merchant tent in a player city?
