Thread: Next question?

The problem is, we want more insensitives to master merchant, we don't want to see the profession devaluated.
The lowering of skill points just isn't likely to happen. The professions all have the same number of skill points. Hybrid professions have more than pure elites but they take from various professions. I just don't see them trying to rebalance the skill point system with less points in some professions than others.
Its Friday and we still don't have a good question for me to present on Monday. ![]()
I am leaning towards:
9. Many merchants and artisans feel that one way to help with the database and item storage is to allow merchants to sell items in crates/resource crates and allow the buyer to buy one or more units (having the vendor remove the item from the crate for retrieval) Is this something that might be possible in the near future?
But would really like to ask:
4. We understand that most of the Terminal/Droids don't speak and thus cannot adbark, however the Protocol Droid has a special place in Star Wars as being very vocal..having the Protocol Droid at master be unable to adbark seems wrong to many merchants. Can this be changed to allow the Protocol droid to adbark?
Be cause it is a pet peeve of mine that the ultimate vendor reward for merchants is a mute pink protocol droid.

If the majority of merchants want me to ask that I will but we will get no satisfaction in the answer.
The purpose of the 19 questions isn't to get major revamps it is to get answers to small questions that we can't get address in other ways. The question about resource crates will probably elicit a comment that the database savings isn't very much (which I know because I've already been told that). I have no idea what the answer to the droid one will be except that the two vendor types are vastly different "under the hood"
Frankly we don't have really great question to ask.
Somehow this whole discussion reminds me of ancient heads of state inquiring of the oracle at Delphi, the advisors no doubt went through the same kinds of issues about exactly what to ask.
The priestes there inhaled intoxicating fumes before answering. I think it would be more interesting if TH did similarly, with nobody editing his response. The current crop of responses are too corporate, sane, and uninteresting for my taste.
So perhaps the question to TH should be "Would you please inbibe 16oz of Jack Daniels, or equivalent dose of your intoxicant of choice, before responding with youranswer towhat the merchants want to know?"
A positive answer could be more interesting than any specific question.

Btw, you may want to knock 3 off of your list. It was voted as our next question by a landslide so we have it covered
Woo hoo Merchants get two questions this week!

What about question 7?
The current system for categorizing items is in serious need of revamping. There are categories with no items in them, there are items that have no category. There have been major additions to the game (Vehicles) which have no proper category. When can we expect to see a revamp of the categories?
I like this, but like a lot of things with vendors - the whole system needs a revamp.
I'd have to say, my vote would be for a post-placement customization question (the ID idea) with renaming of the vendors included in the same question. The former is becoming a hot topic on the ID forum, and the latter is a huge personal annoyance - in order to change the name of my vendor I'd have to lose my spot on the top of the planetary vendors list. I can understand not being able to move vendors (althout it makes expanding your business to a larger building a pain), they at least need some ability to rename and develop past the first time we place it.

In the end I am going to have to just make an editoral decision unless we get far more feedback on this issue.
You still have to make that decision no matter how much feedback you get.
And even if their is an overwhelming concensus behind you, somebody is bound to complain aboutyour choice.
Such are the glories of the job you volunteered for. Thanks for doing it. Don't let it bother you.
