Thread: Please welcome our first Architect-Correspondant!
Well the guy had the 3 solid posts on the issue with furniture. Which is cool and all, but a very limited facet of the whole profession. I'm not saying anyone is jealous or that this guy doesn't deserve it. What I was saying however is whenever you have a position of this type, you need to make sure the guy can put some of his 'game time' to 'board time'. His job now is to keep us informed and also to see what everyone is talking about so he can inform the devs. Basically he is a middle man. Someone with a low post count strikes me as someone that doesn't 'mix it' with the people.
I could be totally off base, but I call them as I see them.
Not trying to criticise... but....
This post has been up almost 24 hours, shouldn't he/she at least have posted here saying hello?
Grats Zarcath. Hope you can get our concerns across to the devs in an organized and reasoned manner so they'll actually do something about them ![]()
Good Luck
I really can not believe that anyone would rag on someone just because they may not have posted often. They can read and compile information. Give the guy a break.
Besides, for those that think you have been passed over, BE THANKFUL !! You really want to be the first guy to carry the heavy load of BS that we have right now?
My list could very well be a long one. But I will settle for one item at a time.
Just WHEN will I be able to make a Havesting Mechanism? I still can not download the information.

Actually, I'd think that a good correspondant would listen much more than he speaks.
Welcome and grats! ![]()
A slight correction...
A good correspondent listens well to the players of his assigned profession,
Weighs all the reasonable options with an open mind...
Then lets the developers know...
In NO UNCERTAIN TERMS what is really needed.
Right now we are still playing in beta, evidenced by the disappearing maintenance fees on harvesters, the three day turnarounds on resources, the Furniture skill causing critical failures to increase, and finally the fact that most architects don't own houses because they are so 'lot-limited' at same time they require so many resources..
So yes, I welcome Zarcath, heck, I would welcome anyone. I just hope he is assertive enough to get our issues across. I'm not asking for handouts, just that they make things right.
Go get em Zarcath! I'm tired of paying to play BETA.
But if you don't post within 24 hours and/or get the developers attention some other way, you are definitely too much of a wimp for me.
BTW, I am not in a nice mood!!! I just got furniture III tonight, but can I celebrate? BUT NOOOOOO!!
Chocobacca - unfortunate victim of the "furniture bug" with two critical failures on big things tonight.
What a bunch of elitist snobs. Board count means you know something? Since when?
MAYBE he doesn't have a high post count cause, god forbid, he is IN GAME PLAYING?!?!?!?!?!
Instead of trolling the boards and whining????
Go figure.
I don't blame him for not coming and saying "Hi" to a bunch of snobs like you guys. Is this why people think Architecs are snobs? you carry this elitist attitude into the game as well?
Let's instead base "knowledge" on registeration date?
Or maybe just those from BETA?
Get a clue and get off your pedastools.
You sound like a bunch of jealous babies upset they weren't the first chosen.
i was in beta, and broke the nda a few times, on the devi boards... yea that was pritty cool :-)
i should have been chose for this possion, because i would push my agenda of making houses worth a whole lot of creds.
Congrats Zarcath ![]()
I never tried to get this spot and I surely don't envy your transition into it. I hope things work out for you though and don't let people get you down.
I used to be the Nano-Technician Professional for Anarchy Online (Drabin) and I know how tough it is initially to try and help out the community at large. Keep your chin up, your reflection and your wits sharp, and try to do the best job you can.
My only tip to you would be to comb the architect boards and definitely look at the 20+ or more threads to get a feel for what is going on in the community. You may already know most of the problems we are facing and can get a good start by searching those threads. I would make a mental note to tell the admins to "sticky" the very important topics written by architects so they don't get lost in the shuffle, and to also ask the architects at large what they feel are the highest issues. Prioritize these issues and make them known to the devs.
That's my two cents mate and welcome aboard.
Hey, thanks for the support Padashar ![]()
Currently my User Stats say I've viewed 6225 messages, and I've been logged in for 2384. I keep a laptop next to me, it's use is specificly so I canwatch the boards while I'm playing, I am constantly refreshing it to see what's new.
Either later today or tomorrow I will post what the initial 5 issues will be and give you all a chance to leave feedback.
