Thread: Looking For Advice

I recently finished the pistol tree in BH. I've got the third box in LLC, half of the first box in carbineer, and the first box of inv.

Here is what I'm wondering. With the pending creature nerf, I may give up CH leaving me some extra skill points. I was thinking about using them in pistoleer. (why not, they use us all the time)

Is this worth it? Or is it more worth it to keep CH even with the nerfs coming up?

If you go pistol do 0-0-3-0. That will give you stopping shot. And it will let you have room for novice medic(I think, might be a little off).

Thanks for the advice. Anyone else got an opinion? Specifically, has anyone ever dropped their CH skills in favor of Pistoleer skills, and did it work out better for them?

New Architect here

Ok – So I get my Christmas gift and find out I need to master Architect. That’s cool - I needed something to give me some direction since I couldn’t make my own mind up, and had trained novice in practically everything at some point. (This game is hell for a Libra)

Since I was only two boxes away from master artisan (I used to be one, but started eating away at it to train other professions) I quickly mastered it again and made X34’s for 33k exp needed to train novice architect.

Now don’t worry – this is not another what to grind post. I know what to grind if I decided to go that route – the trouble I’m having is knowing how to setup a shop and drum up some business. I’m a casual player and it will be a very long time before I’ll master architect. So what I’m want to do is to explore the profession as I go and enjoy the ride.

Now, a long time ago I was working towards tailor. I think I was like 1121 before dropping it and going combat. I tried to run a shop, but I couldn’t compete with all the people who had already mastered the profession. I just wasn’t going fast enough and even my wife was shopping at the master shops because of the added options I couldn’t provide. I finally dropped artisan-based professions entirely and went to combat. After all – I was becoming more skilled at combat considering the only money I had incoming was from hunting missions .

So here I am again, a Master Artisan and now a Novice Architect. I just moved my shop on Naboo to Dantooine at the advice of a friend. ( I forgot to get my stuff out of the stockroom of one of my vendors and lost about 15 speeders – doh) I’ve earned some credits running missions and have purchased two medium minerals and a solar that I plan on deploying soon. Still, I’m worried because I’m not sure if I can make any money as an architect. There are already plenty of masters out there.

So how are you doing it? Any Thoughts? Should I Just grind the Gungans till Master and then worry about a shop once I have the title? Are there things people will be interested in buying at the early levels? I see talk that it’s once again getting Deed saturated and soon there will be little business. I’m thinking I’ll might have better luck making vehicles and powerups then I would making furniture or other architect things. What about city structures?

Would those established Architects share your thoughts on how things have been going for you? Would some recent masters, who had to make their way alongside those who have been going for a while, offer some thoughts as well?

Thanks

D’Kar

you can try small houses...on Dantooine it will be mostly Tatooine small...unless they are in a city.... houses don't need any experimentation....(you can but it does do anything) and sell them for around 10k each......also try some basic furniture and sell for cheap...you get a small amount of experience per/hour for each piece. Also you can build Walls...many Master Architects will buy them from you.....the reasources used in this dont really matter for quality.

Since this is thread is kind of old, is this still more or less sound advice on stats for a Zabrak Fencer or has something changed?

Go loot NSs for Vibro units, they go into the LVAs and VLs; if you get some good ones they're quite valuable
