Thread: Droid Storage Compartments
i just threw 10 kits for 1k up on my vendor, because thats what the other person in my tent was selling them at. in retrospect, thats probably too low. I have 10 cases of storage up for 5000 per case. think ill increase that on my next run.
I find it funny people who are unwilling to sell droids at 10 cpu, are selling storage for 45-110cpu. even funnier when im way underpriced and probably selling at 10cpu.
Did the DSC experimentation requirements change? It was 50% cond, 50% OQ last night, and I could've sworn it used to be 100% OQ. I didn't have time to check whether it was *actually* using the 50/50 mix, since my copper had cond and OQ about the same.
If this change is really in there, it's going to be a lot harder to get the 99% DSCs that I used to make.
Does getting them to 99% really make any difference at all? I've used craptastic non-experimented ones, and then highly experimented (98%) ones in Droid Custom Kits, and noticed absolutely no difference. Can anybody confirm that they actually make a difference to Architects for crafting stations? I mean, experimentation on subcomponents doesn't make a smidgen of difference in droids...

I can confirm that even the difference between an 85% and a 99% make a big differnce for Personal Crafting Stations. If Droid Storage Compartment quality makes no diff with Vehicle Customization Kits, then that's news to me. Most people assume it does, and ask for the highest % compartments.
If anyone bothers to experimant, please post results so we can see the cutoff point per charge on VCKs (I know it also depends on the final assembly resources too, but some info is better than none
)

I'll experiment tonight when I get home (about 5 hours). I made a bunch of DSC's the other day (via factory) that all ended up at about 95% or so. This was when they were still using Artisan experimentation. Now that they're using DE experimentation (I think?) I'll probably only be able to get them to about 30% at best (I'm 2/2/0/3 with 2 experimentation points).
If no one's posted results by then, I'll let you know what the difference is between a Vehicle Customization kit made with the 95% DSC vs. one made with the 30% one. If there's any difference at all it should be dramatic enough to notice.
When I made my first VCKs, another resident of my city was also making them. He only had novice DE (1 exp point). We both used the same copper,and we both were able to get to 96 percent with nine charges- heck even I could only experiment the bottom bar of the DSC to 77 percent, I believe.
I don't think the subcomponents matter, only the metal used.

Good to know. Thanks. I'll still run my tests tonight and if I have different results I'll post them, but this sounds like it's pretty definitive.

I sold out already. More on the way. been selling them for 5K a crate 99% experemented.
Except for one problem. If you are selling them as 99% experimented under the old system to an architect to make stations thne you are currently committing fraud. The stats carry over to the station module and not the experimentation variable. That means your super 99% experimentation is more like 75% under the new STEALTH NERF from the devs for DSC's.
I have still to see one single reason for this change. Guess the devs are too busy explaining, yet again, why everything has to break for 2 to 3 weeks with every publish.
