40k on starsider? I just ran about 140 throw my factory and put them on my vender for 65k each, they sell slowly, but they still sell. At that price it gives me just long enough to mine the resources I need to make another batch and process continues.

If you are selling a 100 in two days, then perhaps you are selling them too cheap... try doubling ur prices and see if you sell 50... same money, half the resources used, 100% increase in profit

Scylla - I regularly receive orders for anything between 5 and 20 and sell them at 90k each.... cheapest I've ever sold is 70k and that's only for very large or extremely good repeat customers.

Assuming cheap 3 cpr resource 75% location, amount of resource pulled in 1 day = 1440*0.75*10 ~9k in resource = 27k cash return. Let's say you sell those medium harvs at 27k, the person breaks even in just 1 daymining grind resources..... nice... think I'll become a miner on your servers.

1 day to make 27k in missions, buy harvester, earn 27k next day from resource sales, buy another harv, earn 54k on the 3rd day, buy2 harvs, earn 108k on 4th day, buy another 4 harvs, on 5th day 216k, buy 2 harvs to fill remaining lots and be left with a profit of 162k ... wow just 5 days work and now generating 270k a day from grind resources.. put it on a 10 or 15 cpr resource and oooooohhhh baby, you're rolling in it.

Think about it, people used to pay 100k+ for BER 10 heavies. What are people really paying for, the piece of equipment or the ability to pull resources out of the ground? If in the past people paid 100k for 10kg/hr, then 60-80k for 10kg/hr at half the maintenance and power is an awesome deal.

Typically what I do is the following

7kg/hr medium minerals15k, 8kg/hr 25k, 9kg/hr 40k, 10kg/hr 60k: Charge a premium for the highest possible output. Even with research specialization I am not guaranteed of a 10. The other mediums that take 3 walls intead of 3 structural mods start at 40k, 50k, 60k, 80k

What is crazy is that people are still buying 10kg/hr heavies for 100k. On the heavies I price

10kg/hr 100k, 11kg/hr 120k, 12kg/hr 140k, 13kg/hr 160k.

I rarely sell mediums anymore since I've focused on heavies. Again, I price by *value*, not by *cost*. I only make BER10 and BER13s - anything less is deep-discounted and moved off the vendor ASAP. When I offer mediums, they ALL go for 90K each. I sell ALL heavies for 160K each.

My experience is than anyone who is serious about mining understands the notion of limited lots, limited spawn time, profit per day, and "payback period". I constantly get orders for 3-5 BER13 heavies at my prices.

Im a master architect on Farstar, the "young" Euro-server, and i find it difficult to sell the BER 10 for anymore than 30k a piece. But then again, this is a pretty young server and people doesent have that kind of money yet. As of the BER 9, they sell out in a rush at 25k a piece

I sell my medium BER 10's (all flavors, not just minerals) for 80k each. Why sell yourself short. At only 30 or 40k the miner (I realize that still gives you about a 10cpu profit per medium min., but weopons and armor go for 50cpu easy), on a 75% resource concentration canpull 10.5k resources at a cost of about .3cpu and sell those same resources for well over 10 times that. Do the math! They make that 30 or 40k back in one day of mining.Remeber that when you sell a harvester the chances are that that person is going to mine for cash resources, not to mention the deed is reusable.

Of course to be fair I've been a Master for 4 months now and cash flow isn't a problem anymore. I too used to price low at first just to get the cash flow going. If cash is a problem, make furniture to sell, it always moves quickly. Stock lots of plants and torches. Cheap to make and you wil never ever be able to keep up with the demand.

Lately I've been focusing on BER 14 fusions at 180k, cheap by some standards, but they never stay more than a day on the vendor.
