This doesn't make sense to me, either. Right now I'm running off heavy gas harvesters in my factory - BER-13.

Why Lub Oil??? Arch schematics use UT/HR/SR and Lub oil has OQ/DR - I made two different fusions last night where the only thing I changed was one time I used oil and the other fiber and the fiber was 14 and oil 13 ber

Because Lube Oil and liquid petro fuel DON'T have HR/SR/UT. Because they don't, they don't "water down" those attributes from your steel/metal/ore. If you use a chemical with UT, for example, it is averaged in with the steel/metal/ore. Unless it has a higher UT than those, it will *lower* your potential quality.

Nothing *guarentees* you a high score - but maximizing that calculation gives you the best possible shot at it.

Well I'll be damned - last night must have only worked cause I used fiberplastic in the high 900'swith UT/DR - higher than the steel even lol - you'd better believe I'm gonna retry that experiment tonight with the 400k lub oil I have. Before I think I just assumed that 0 would get factored in. /emote kicks self - boy I'm doinga few tests tonight, now I understand what a friend of mine was attempting to explain to me.

this seems to be plauging people lately. A person in my guild who knows what he was doingis having the same problem, but was getting rate 12 instead of the 13. When I did it, I didn't seem to have a problem getting the 13's.

Well Sylvandk, it seems there’s something wrong on your end. I'll have to agree with the others, as it sounds like your made a medium instead of a heavy. Unless by some chance that your using a very bad turbo fluidic mining unit, then even with the 95% your saying your getting in experimental Efficiency in the final construction.

My advice to you is to make a new turbo fluidic mining units and this time make sure the experimental Efficiency on those is 92%+. Then with this new mining units attempt to make a new Heavy Gas Processor, you will make a BER 13 if you get the Experimental efficiency up to 92%. If you don't then your really doing something wrong.

Does the experimentation levels on Wall modules affect the extraction rate on Harvesters?

Non-Architect asking.

so basically if your turbos are experimented to at least 92% and you make sure you your ut/sr/hr are as high as possible you should have np's reaching ber 13.....

well.. thank you for all the replies, and I figured it out on my own, yes I was making heavies, and now I can get max ER on everything by winging it on the mining uníts with only decent metal and 85% experimented.. havent tried below that ^_^

So no need to use the best you have on the silly mining units, only for the final combine..

Can you clarify this, please? What quality level on your mining units are you using and what quality on your final assemblies are you getting in order to hit BER13?

my mining units are 85%, but with good resourcesin the final assembly I can still hit ER 13

meaning that I dont have to use the best resources on the mining units, I'm winging it with metal that has HT,SR and UT in the high 800's for the mining units, and stuff with high 900's for the final assembly..

I can tell you the stats of all the things later, but if their on swgcraft, I'm using

Ibegiiam(steel) for the mining units and Kine(steel) + Acofa(ore) for the final aseembly

But if you flip it around and have ultra-high end mining units, then you can use the lower quality stuff on final assembly. Particularly for Heavy Gas, with that 6500 unit chunk of metal, you might come out ahead that way. Plus remember that the Turbo Fluidic Drill Pump is used in 3 different heavies.
