Yes...the days of making personals by hand...survey for a couple of hours only to crit fail. Good times, I swear.

i was there on day 1 or rather day 2, and hand surveying. it was funner then. and didnt take 60 sec to get your 2nd sample. or wait 30 sec to get a new sample. and i meet alot of novice artisons then too. and yes i remember when ber 9 heavys where the best. and i could only make ber 7s. now i cant give them away. i cant make my self delete them cause they where the hardest things to make back then.

something else that help me during early days, i had a rl friend novice medic. so i helped him get stim stuff and he healed me while i sampled. it worked good for both of us then. and i purchased my first personal harvestor. i didnt macro harvest. and i started this game wanting to be and architect, and im happy to say i still am. i also am the mayor of a city i built. every house, factory and item in city, i donate my city stuff to guild/city oh yeah im guild leader too. hell i never go from from city so i can donate my time to guild and city..

well that is my 2 cents on the old days

I remember back in the day, when i wanted to be an armorsmith. i would leave my comp on afk for days to stockpile resources to go through the long journey of getting to engineering 4.....lol. then i finaly got to novice armorsmith...and realized not only bone armor needed scout materials. i quit swg shortly after this for several months, only to come back when i saw my cousin riding around on a speeder and setting stuff on fire with his flamethrower.

*sits in the rocking chair*

Way back, back when the universe was young......

In the beginning I and my guild had a plan to power level a member to Master Arch so we could get a PA hall. So we got as many members as possible and sat them down and had them sampling. Back then the resource shifts wern't working so the veins were static. We could sit outside the cantina at Kor Vella and sample a 65% vein of aluminum without fear of attack. As people progressed up the survey tree the chosen arch (me) would train them for AP and collect the various resources. All the while other members of the PA would run missions to gather credits to pay for training.

Upon reaching Engineering 3, I started to make personal harvestors and we had all our members placing them and a select few working those harvestors (paying maintence and collecting resources). Once a steady amount of resources was coming in, i started to upgrade to mediums and made a factory and the rest is history.
