Thread: Why are architects and crafters been slowly removed from the game Thunderheart???????

I very much agree with the harvestor comments. Having BER 14 harvs "possible" is a great boon to the profession. I'm thankful that the 4 people on Tempest capable of making them place value on their rarity and appropriate credit values. Maybe BER 16 Fusions will come online soon. *hint*
As for rewards, some Devhit it right on the head for what the populace 'wanted', with ADKs, Resource Deeds, and No-Power Converters for Harvestors Deeds. Beyond that some cool stuff. I picked the Cu Pa over these holograms recently. I grew weary of having the same thing as everyone else.

Have we gotten much extra's since PC update? No. Is that new bunker type house a slap in the face? No. If it was I challange all you architects out here. Do you own a Yacht or a BARC? If you complain about the bunker then make sure you delete that new 8 person vehical when you get it cause its not player crafted.

One of the reasons I'm not getting the expansion is because the Devs have relegated crafters to being third-class citizens. Buying expansions for the bribes only proves they can /slap crafters and crafters will still buy the expansion to get the cool goodies. Want to get the Devs attention? Don't buy. Encourage folks in your guild not to buy. Do not bring in new players.
It's a shame because I chose SWG over WoW for the crafting and merchantile systems. But the Devs don't care about crafters and are less than honest with the community about it (the expansion is for everyone?Bantha Poodoo.)
A real expansion would add something for every profession, and not just a token schematic or two as combat quest rewards.

Have you played the expansion? If not how can you know what its all about. I feel you are baseing your anger and hostility on ignorance and not actual fact. I have been a crafter of some sorts since the beginning ofthe game, yea they ALWAYS have had rewards for buying expansions, and those have always been items that no crafter can make. So what? I mean out of the thousand's upon thousands of items that are craftable, I can think of 6 that are not.
Yacht, barc, the bunker, the skiff... yea not even 6. SO our crafting profession alone has how many items we can make compared to the 1 we can't? Big deal. I can't believe how people can get so upset over a game. I have played this (the only mmorpg ive ever played) since 6-26-03, i have been fustrated over things that broke the game, but never from a gift.
You don't want to buy the expansion...so don't no one is forcing you to do so. I am buying it for both of my accounts. Also why the flame about keeping new people from playing? That is just insane. "Don't bring in new players" Yea that way the old tired jerks can continue to dominate the game? I have read a lot of silly posts mate, but yours takes the cake...

Yacht, barc, the bunker, the skiff... yea not even 6. SO our crafting profession alone has how many items we can make compared to the 1 we can't? Big deal. I can't believe how people can get so upset over a game. I have played this (the only mmorpg ive ever played) since 6-26-03, i have been fustrated over things that broke the game, but never from a gift.
ROTW bought out many ships that shipwrights were chomping at the bit to build but they were rewards (mining ship, jedi starfighter) bobba gives rifles and carbines etc. Only 6 lol?
Since the launch of the beta of the game an architect has had approximately 20 new items they (and only they) can build added to the game. All the people who use the bunker house will not be sales to architects, and the price of houses will drop to the floor with the houses the people who now own bunker houses will be selling to offload. Not a major concern to most players but to people with crafting and merchant play styles a massive thing.
If you read my original post as a whinge about a "gift" you read it in a different language to what i wrote it.
Most combat professions it is true are broken but they are still usable. Crafting is becoming a third place profession, it is stale and boring and they are slowly reducing the chances of crafters surviving by bringing in rewards and gifts that directly and unfairly compete with crafters. Why cant the gift be the ability to place a bunker house and let the architect build it instead of giving them the deed as the gift? If they want crafting to be a central part of the game as it was at launch why keep on chipping away at its usefulness?
I notice with the style of customer relations with SOE you rarely get them to speak out on issues. They state they are above having to reply to such posts. Is that a healthy attitude you think? Surely if what i was saying was totally wrong Tiggs or Thunderheart would be keen as mustard to slap me down with evidence that i am far from the truth.
Surely if i was so wrong atleast one SOE member of staff would make some sort of statement on here to placate me and save the possibility of me not bothering torenew my accounts.
"youre wrong jongasher. were doing this and this and that in three publishes time!" 80 or so words to get $21.99 a month three times over.Holy bananas. thats over 80 cents a keystroke. wish i could ignore earning 80 cents per keystroke.

If you want to take my direct reply to someone else's post and aply it to every other reply in this thread go ahead. I was replying to what that user had said. Better yet why not apply it to every thread in the forum?
You are just being irate at this point.
Seems to me that SOE were going in the right direction with crafters pre-cu. I had a Doc and a DE neither of these are viable professions to earn money, infact i need to pump money into them from combat missions. It wouldn't be so bad if my crafters could look after themselfs in combat, but even with a combat mastery I an too week to stand up for myself.
IMO Crafters are no longer fun to play or much use to anyone, but then hey what do i know
