I was thinking about this earlier. I'm tired of seeing all the plants and weeds sticking up everywhere. Roads or pavement would make the city's more realistic.
It would be nice if we could have a bull dozer option like in Sim City. A mayor could pay an Architect to come in and "level" the ground inacity. I'm sure a lot of places would be able to fit more structures this way too.

I think a good structure would be some sort of dueling arena. Mabye inside on a raised platform, or on a lowered one, like a colosseum. But on a much smaller scale, enough room for a ranged fighter to get out the range of a melee when standing in the middle, but small enough 2 save room, mabye make it as big as a large house, with 20 seats, with 4 2/3 arrangemants...

As long as we're thinking up ideas that will never happen, how about an amusement park? One of the games I used to play had a CSR-equivalent function of bouncing a player through various zones like a bouncy ball. While I don't advocate that, I think an amusement park might be an interesting feature.

As a crafter being constantly incapped, and threecapped when working at my factories, I had a thought...
How about an ARCH building that you could place that would scare off mobs, in a radius around the building?
(anyone who has played HL2 knows the buildings i'm talking about, the thumpers.
Pros: Mobs wouldn't stick around the area, and could not build a lair within the range of the building.
Cons: Make it take a lot, and or power and maintenance to keep it working...
Maybe have a DE component required in the building to make it a bit more difficult to make...
Cannot be placed where there are already existing lairs....
MUST be placed within a certain range of YOUR factorys or harvesters...
I know I'd use the extra lot for that .. living on lok means agro mobs all over the factories, from flits to kimos, and being CL1 i'm not much of a match for either.
