The servers have always had a hard limit of firing at once per second......that was to be looked at for the CU but I never heard they were able to increase the server response abilities.
As for the Cone KD, well with all the Jedi crying about Snare and Root, how in the world could we get a Cone KD through the 'Jedi Devs'.....
My idea is to take rapid fire and change it to a proper fully automatic attackso it fires up to 5 individual low damage shots per second for a duration of about 4 seconds, each one being treated by the game as individual attacks so each one has a chance to hit/miss.
To keep this balanced it would have a relatively high action cost and long cooldown timer (10-15 seconds) and the point of this attack being to swamp an opponents defenses and let a few of the attacks through but have a low enough individual damage modifier for it not to be unbalanced.
I personally see no big advantage in this attack unless the overal damage modifier is significally higher than of legshot. After all, by executing one form of attack for 4 seconds, you are unable to use any other attack in this time. People will not be ready to have their damage output reduced for an attack which at the same time noticeably reduces flexibility.
After all, 4 seconds of firing time means that the scheduled snare or knockdown comes two seconds later than it would have come with another form of attack.
I am aware that the area KD is unlikely to come, but it would be my premium choice. Otherwhise, i'd rather take other forms of crowd control (and high end mobs not being immune to our most characteristic and useful crowd control attack) over any new or reworkedability for damage output. Which forms of crowd control to be added is a good question, as long as we're not to go poaching in the areas of other professions, i am short of really good ideas yet.

Anyway, I am always up for interesting new shots that are more than just a run of the mill damage dealer. Something that I would like to see as well would be for states to be more effective, and for us to get a Dizzy or a Blind attack. Pistoleers already have stun, and I dont want to take that from them, but if state attacks were better than they are now, I think it would be nice for each of the ranged professions to have the ability to throw a state on a target.
New ideas like this are always good to talk about.
