Personal Lawns or gardens. Depending on the size of your house you can have a small, medium or large fenced in lawn or garden with vegatation native to whatever planet your on. Each add-on will have a little walkway to your door, some kind of lighting for nights, a fountain, bird-feeder or something similiar to give a uniqueness to each lawn.

Warehouse

A structure where I can store maaaaaannyy items. Interface like a factory.
I am tired to store all my items in more houses then I really need, in factories or vendors.

And I think this is a structure that many people would like and use.

WAREHOUSES!


LOVE THIS IDEA!! I started playing when SWG first came out and have felt a warehouse should have been in game. It would also be great for PA's that like to have stuff for other members of the PA for free. This would give us a nice place to drop things for them to pick up. Though I can see a down side to these and it would take a little bit of coding to make them work they way they should be. If you decided to do warehouses and give us say 300 item space, I could see coding need to be done in a few ways, one would be to make it so it can't be a public building, (this would keep vendors out) I would keep the admin list the same to where you have to add people who can enter the building. Maybe to keep them from being used as houses... Have shelves or large containers placed in the big room what we the players can rename, but each container holds, X number of items. Or maybe give architects a new thing to make for the warehouses. And these items are the only thing that can be dropped in a warehouse. And only X number of these can be placed in a house and X number of items can fit in each container? Just some thoughts and ideas on how warehouses could work...


I also like the idea of IDer's Tent for player made cities, just cause we have an IDer in our PA and it's hard to get stuff done cause she is in an NPC town cause that is the only place IDer tents are. I mean, Doctors get Medical Centers, and Master Dancers and Musicans get Theatres and Cantinas. Why can't MASTER IDers get Image Design Tents that would follow the same rules as a medical center and Cantina/Theatre in a Player made town.


TOTALLY AGREE with a post office type place!!


Like Cantina's and Medical Centers, a "shopping mall" building that ups our merchant exp, reduced feesor something like that. It could be a building like the Cantina with cubbys that a politian can "rent" or just give permision to a merchant (business IV or novice and higher) where that would be there area. And each section (i know coding could be an issue) the merchant could put up their own sign. And if you could put a terminal in each "Cubby hole" then maybe make it the merchants job to make sure maintaince is paid. And if the politian doesn't rent out all the lots then the city pays for the rest of the maintance on the building?


HOUSE UPGADE! I have knowticed when we put down a house a certain area is marked for the house. It would be nice if we could drop things in the marked square, or a certain area out side the house were the OWNER could drop something. (yes, it would count towards the maintain of the house) And up the number of items for each of the two house lvls. I think it would be cool to walk threw a player town, and see a droid shop with droid parts or " junky" type stuff outside the house, or a BE shop with animals outside or in a corral like someone else said. That would give personallity to the city and the game.I know right now the only person that can put thingsdown outside our homesare the politians, but I feel players should have the right to decorate the outside of their homes. Maybe have two lots for each house. One would tell us how many items wehave inside (sm house 150) and one for outside (ie. 50, just to keep people from cluttering upto much) And let us put stuff on balanies!!!! NPC houses have stuff out there why can't we?


I think when JtL comes out, Player made Starports! You don't need to code the ships landing and stuff for player ships, but maybe have a hanger terminal where we can see what ships are docked in that starport? You may already have this planned. And I could be jumping the gun.


I am sure there is more but these are really the ones that stuck out them most in my head.

As I was walking threw our town last night on Tatooine, another structure came to mind...


Bridges! We as architects should be able to make bridges, small, med, and large and they can only be placed by a politian.

The biggest comments I've heard in our city are for roads, an arena, wearhouses, and 3-5 story buildings, where you could "rent" a level. We put in a sort of post office, a small house with all guildmembers having access. Inside are travel packs with a members name on it. Not very efficient, but if you trust everyone on admin, it works great. But something formal would be even better.


Also something that looks more like a police station for player cities. It would add great roleplaying potential.

Multi-lot Harvesters


These would be harvesters that would take up multiple lots, with a corresponding increase in capacity, extraction rate, and footprint size.


The key advantage would lie in allowing you to harvest the same amount of materials, on the same number of lots, and taking up essentially the same amount of space, but with the significant advantage of having far fewer harvesters to set up, maintain, and tear down.


It might also have the added benefit of reducing the server burden, because there would be fewer structures in the world, and the server would have to relay less information to clients as you travel past them and they load into the world.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but what about new styles?


For example: We have Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia, and Generic. For example a Colony style. Colony would be rougher looking structures only placed on outer worlds. Simply more variety.

What About a TV / Holoviewer station for a player city?


A player could buy an architect CraftedTV/Holo box to place in there house.


Could be used as a slowBF/mind wound healer !

Not an architect, but with the Damn Merchant nerf getting talked about it.. Here is my Idea.. an item Of furniture that sit's inside a house that can increse the storage capacity of the house..


Theitem is called a STorage Chest and I can hold 25-50 item's.. The name of the Stoarge item is set By the person who Droped it.. Once Droped they can not be moved and no more that 10 of them maybe droped in anyone house.. Also if the house is redeeded then the Storage container's go Boom and will need to be replaced if they are required in the new location..


ThisDoes 2 thing it allows the crafter's to store the resources that they need for their craft with out having to have stuff Stored on the Vender's.. AND it also give's the Architect anew item to add to their Trade.. Imagine the number's of these that would be required if they are brought in..

The ability to place things on porches. New plants, or even just ALL the types of potted plants you see in the game, or experiment to make hybrids. The ability to craft Every type of furniture you see in the game.

Hi all -

Here's my top 5 architect issues ... sorry if I'm repeating someone ...


1. Why not have craftable buildings for some of the city mods such as stronghold etc. There's already a use for them in-game.

2. More city decorations - not gardens, of which there seems to be a bewildering variety, but things like settler camp (dome and vaporators), jawa camp (2 or 3 tents), junkyard, slum, etc etc. The models for these already exist, and it could be a useful way of getting some semblance of life into a town as some of them might spawn npcs now and then ...

3. One or two more high end house designs - esp. for the filthy rich who aren't happy with a large house.

4. Ore mining units into crates please.

5. Crafters guilds one day - why should jedi have all the fun ...

What about walls that can go around a city. Like Nyms. We should be able to build walls and towers to make our cities beautful and safe.. Also on a different not. when we craft how about being about to see a blue print of what we are crafting. Like a Large Gen house there are two different types. It would be easer to know which one you want to craft if you see a blue print and that goes for all deeded items when we craft them.

You know think this was something someone else was talking about, or more of a combination.


What about the small Jawa huts that are outside of IMP hill in the ghetto around Bestine? Those could operate much in the way our factories do, you would have an input and an output hopper, take up very little space as far as the server goes, and be able to hold say 200 items, and use 1 lot.


Just an idea that came to me while I was tramping around Tatooine.
