He is an architect and he does have a vendor.

Cosno went and checked it out. He's got some cheap buildings like 5k smalls and 50k larges. But his harvester stock is kinda low and the prices aren't what he's said. A couple dozen BER4's personals for 5k (20 cpu!?), ten or fifteen mediums including both BER9 and BER10 for 25k but the only heavies are a couple BER12 heavies for 50k. The deeds do have his name Blackstarr on them as the creater. His stuff is easy to spot in the vendor search since he starts the deed names with "Starr's ..."
He's a brand new architect then. I've never heard of him (I check out the "competition" regularly) and he's actually about 2k away from one of my major malls. And he certainly wasn't an architect a few months ago when he originally posted that troll.
I went and checked his vendors out. It looks like he's doubled all of his prices from his original "perfect pricing" theory. Funny. But he still had some good deals. he had large houses for 50k. I bought them all. He only had 2 heavies and they were BER 12 for 50k. I wonder what he sells the 13BER ones for? And his guild halls are 150k. All his prices other than Large houses are just "ok". A far cry from what he's been claiming though.
But if he's willing to build some BER 13's for 50k I'll buy them up as fast as he can make them. Since he's a noobie architect though I suspect he'll run out of steam pretty fast.

But I'm going to. Here are the worst examples of underselling on my server. Bear in mind that NONE of these are "single items" they are all multiples, at least 5-10 of each as of Sunday night, after a few days for people to go on a buying frenzy.
Small Houses (all types) 6.5k
Medium Houses (all types) 12k
Factories (literally dozens total) 20k
Paintings (Golden Petals 1) 510. Not 510k, but 510. Yes, I'm on the way to buy him out.
I'd previously seen a lot of heavy mineral harvs for 80k, and confirmed they were ber 13. Gone by tonight. There had beenseveralcheaply priced small houses (just odds & ends, not regular stock) with ridiculous amounts of upkeep in them; gone also.
Most annoying: items I'd placed for sale hours earlier were still not showing in the list. I am near impossible to find; Friday I didnt have an item show up until page 7. Now I show on the first page, with ONE item--and there's not seven pages of items total. Looks like about half what there used to be. My total sales over the weekend were nine small houses and a custom order for some candles.
Probably the worst offender on my server was Ockan. Three of the four prices listed above are his, and he's one of the few people that undersell me on Smalls. (Much to my surprise, I was on the low end at 9500--or at least I was by the time I looked.) Judging from the decrease in items listed for sale, I suspect Ockan did several million in business this weekend. Roga is another major player who appears to have had a lot of sales this weekend. Though his prices were not generally as abusive as Ockan's; he's done a major expansion around Bestine. To expand on that--I've noticed a huge population shift with a LOT of storage houses and harvester fields popping up in this area, which has remained pretty barren over the last year. They're not just Roga's; it looks to be several different crafters in various classes, based on the harvester names. I read this as the largest of the crafters preparing to dominate the market through volume sales and low pricing.I'd have been stockpiling to flood the market too, if I'd had the resources/money.
This is telling me I should have stuck to my guns and left my account canceled, but I let a friend talk me into re-subscribing for a month to see how the market shakes out. My projection is that I'll be out of business within a week to ten days, based on sales and harvester maintenance. I used to keep 2 weeks of maint in my harvs; I'm down to 5 days now and won't be able to maintain that for long. I've thrown a bunch of resources up for sale to stave off the end, but they had been for my expansion plans.
In short, I'm eating my capital to stay alive, and that's not a recepie for survival. Thanks for nothing SOE.
UPDATE: managed to sell a guild hall (I'm competitive on those), which will give me funds to continue for another3-5 days or so. Looking at stock, location,and price levels, I see niches to exploit--assuming I'm not overwhelmed my larger competitors able to dominate all possible markets. We shall see.

Well it's not total BS, Hazelina. A contact on Naritus said prices for heavy harvesters dropped to 50k and that some architects have stopped building them.

Coming from this guy, it's total BS. This guy posted a few months ago that he was selling heavy harvestors for 25k. He said he played on corbantis and his vendor was on Tat. He wouldn't give anyone the waypoint to the vendor though, nobody on Corbantis had ever heard of the guy (except his second account he tried to pretend was his only customer). We did finally track his house down. It was in the middle of nowhere with a 50k entrance fee. When confronted with these facts he dissapeared from the thread - and from the boards altogether, and just recently popped up again in this thread. I guess he figured nobody would remember him. He was wrong. Read the thread Pawlin posted the link to for details.

Well as for me, i refuse to lower my prices... I dont sell the heavies, like most of you guys do, and I dont keep my vendors stocked with player city buildings or guild halls, etc.... Just mainly factories, small houses, medium harvesters, and furniture. I prolly dont make much off my architect proffesion, due to my pricing, or flat out refusal to make the larger buildings/harvesters and keep my vendor stocked with them... But i make enough to keep playing the game, keep everything paid up on a regualr basis, and keep myself and my two other toons in resources and things.
I dont really care too much for the new vendor search option or whatever the exact name it is, cause in my opinion, it has just turned yet another element in this game to a "war" of sorts. this thing....a price war is going on right now, with everyone trying to undercut everyone else.
I agree that it isnt gonna last long, sounds like it is going to take WAY more work than the folks who work on this game like to put into it.
I also agree with something else that was said.... People do want quality work... No matter what the price... I seriously doubt that anyone is going to take the time to harvest top notch resources that it takes to make the BER13's with a 125k+ hopper, and them sell them for 50k or less... If they do, then more power to them, I guess... I personally wont sell one for less than 125k apiece if I decide to make them for someone on a contract order.
Also, people want things fast... When a guy selling 50k heavies, is out and the folks need them right then, they WILL find them....they arent going to wait until the cheap vendor restocks to get that ultimate spawn they are trying to set up on today....LOL All of you already know this of course, so I am beating a dead horse, but I dont think any of us have much to worry about, financially anyways...
As for Stownhart.... I just thought I was warped..... this guy dont even know when to quit....sheesh... Thought you guys had killed him and moved him to another game a few months ago.......LMAO!

Welp, Stonetroll is selling his architect items at 3 times what he said 
He was selling large houses for 50k and mediums for 25k but I guess he got tired of me buying all his stock and he banned me from his vender tent. And now all his architect items are priced quite high on the vender search. Funny.

125k for heavies as well. I tend to tell people to have a nice day when I get complaints. I remember a time when I patiently discussed with an artisan protege about the merits of a 6k factory on auction through the bazaar pre-14 and the possibilities of getting more through yours truly. Now said protege is gearing up to be the terror of the DE community. I'm so proud. I can kick him out to the bazaar to check what others have done to see if his workbothanship is up to snuff.
From what I can tell, the vendor search is still bugged. My poor distributer who hates shopping made a list of places to find poisons, went to the various places, nada. Well, he could have been dragging his heels a bit, but the probabilities of doing the same to 4 different places is pretty questionable,and 150k for a poison pack not part of a crate shouldn't sell that quickly. On the bright side, I did sell av-21's a bit quickly. My poor distributer is complaining about the state of his armor for retrieving the necessary av parts since I try to keep them in stock. That's what looking soulfully into his eyes and patting his cheek is for. He has plenty of armor.
One thing I like about the search... Furniture drives me nuts. Now people can go find their own chairs and I can get back to harvestors. Ore. Lovely, lovely ore. Furniture doesn't use ore, normally.

Gee, thanks Stownhart for saying I have a lack of repect for these forums.
Mosts of my posts are in the trade forums. Getting price checks on items (which I'm selling), a little dabbling in auctions (and people may need to know where to stick the stuff), the occaisional ad (humorously written, I hope), so my signature is completely appropriate for most of my posts in the forums.
As for vendor search, I'm liking it. I've found a few things I've wanted. I've been able to search the galaxy for ore much easier (the ONE guy who had the ore I wanted wasn't selling), my sales have remained about even (despite my 'unresanable' prices). Only thing I miss is the /tells for special orders for guild halls etc. A bit of player interaction has left...

Just an update. Stonetroll wrote me an in game email saying the reason he banned me from his shop was because I was buying all his merchandise and reselling it lol I did exactly what I told him I was going to do. And he said he is banning other people for doing the same thing. He doesn't seem to understand the concept that if you sell things too far below actual market value people are going to buy it up and resell it. That is the nature of the economy and a way to keep prices in check. He claims he is still selling items at the prices he quoted herealthough I have no way of proving that and his stuff isn't showing up on the vendor search at those prices. But at those prices people will continue to buy up his stock and resell it and he'll end up having to ban most of the server. And I don't understand why he cares who he sells to anyway as he is still getting theamount he wants for the items.
