Thread: macros
hehe read it again Alich... I'm just pointing out the obvious because they obviously don't want people afk macroing with all the attempts they've made to stop looping, etc.
But "macros or other programs" is not the same as "macroing programs or other programs"... but read it whichever way makes you feel better, I didn't write it... ![]()
How do you set macros for sample for example that run until you interrupt them. Like an infinite loop in programing?
Also how do you referance macros in macros?
Finally, i've seen it before but how do you referance radial menu and hotkeys in macros?
If someone could answer these i'm sure many would appriciate it .
Thanks ilcoz wavingstrider
set up the macro as a button in your toolbar then at the end of your macro call that button with the /ui action toolbarslot## where ## is the number of the spot
example: first slot on the top bar is 00, the end is 11, second bar is 12 and 23
to end the macro just move the icon for your macro to another slot
macroing away with no concept of the art of musicianship and entertaining. . . . . . . . . . .you abviously havent caught my show.. . . .
but blah blah all you want, all you have to do is use the macro option in game silly billys. . . . .
but I stop here as not to incriminate myself . . .
If I go AFK I stop playing, put my AFK flag up and tell everyone I'm going AFK.
Bravo!
I wish everyone would do this. Three cheers for you, at least, for doing this.

The command to macro "press" a key on your toolbar ( Like F3 ) is /ui action toolbarSlot##
The numbering starts at 00 so F1=00, F5=04, F12=11 You get the picture.
You can use these to "loop" a macro as well. Just make sure the macro is dragged to a toolbar slot and that you activate the same slot from the macro. So if my macro is in slot 24 then I would add /ui action toolbarSlot23 to the end of the macro. To stop this, just drag the macro to a diffeent slot, your running macro will reach that line and find nothing to run in slot 24
/ui action toolbarSlotXX is great for doing the fast switch between armor and cloths. drag all the items you wear to the toolbar and write a macro that activates each in turn.
Will this loop ability be taken away in the future? Who knows. It is there now as well as all the other macro commands. I believe in using every tool given to me. However, for those of you who would like to do the overnight sample while you sleep thing, there is a section that forbids "Unattended gameplay" in the EULA you agee to every time you play the game.
I'm not condeming or condoning here. Just pointing out that 1.) The macroing has been given to us as a tool to automate repetative tasks 2.) unattended gameplay has been addressed by sony in the EULA
Do as you will. If it becomes an issue sony will address it.
