Thread: Top 5 List Candidate: Bugs

I have always been apposed to bugs going on this lists but after reading alot of stuff in the correspondent area I see that this is ok to be here and that it is not bringing these bugs to the attention of the devs (becuz everyone has that ability ingame with the report bugs feature) but it is more a task of keeping the devs focused on them .. So here simply list the known bug issues.. and lets prioritize them .. meaning if we had to choose one bug that they fixed first.. which would it be.. ? I dont think i need to go into much detail here..

this is going to be hard to pin down just the one bug.


i guess the number 1 bug would have to be extractor animations and missreported power (this is one bug as they are intermingled and entered the game at the same time)



but....


as the above can be easerly worked around, it is not all that restricting. a little fustrating, yes, but with an on/ off macro on your toolbar it doesnt take all that long (2 seconds) to see what the real current power is....


soooooo..


with that in mind i would have to say ore mining units not being in crates when factory made would have to take priority for my money. this is a real PITA... instead of loading up a factory and walking away we have to sit and keep feeding the input hopper every half an hour when making large batches of heavy mineral extractors. for me at least, having ore mining units in crates is more important than the extractor bug above.


however, they are both important bugs, it would be a shame if only one was adressed.

but to pick one only, i would pick the ore mining units.

I will present as many if not all of the bugs i can fit in a small blurb .. but i want to be prepared just in case i get asked .. ok which is more crucial to get handled.. ?? that is why the part of prioritizing.. ^ ^

The bugs that need to be fixed are harvester animations and power not showing up correctly. Also Ore mining units needing to be crated looks like a big one for you guys, so I'll say that one too.

1) Haverster Animations and Harvester Power Reporting.
2) Oremining units and Deeds not crating.
3) Factory owner gets his/her name on the Product, not the person who actually made the schematic (this applies to all professions, I believe).

Those are the most pressing bugs, with #3 not being too important, i guess.

Item #F - Ore mining units don't crate. Was in the top 5 of the previous top 5 voting thread. It had 9 votes there.


The only other bug'ish item was:


E - Please fix the master armoire. The mid level and master level have the resource requirements mixed. The mid level requires rare stuff that the master should and vice versa.


But that only had a couple votes.


You know we're actually in pretty good shape if these are the only bugs that we can think of. Both are easily worked around and really don't cause any major heartache.


That is IF you don't include experimentation on fusion and solars in this 'bug' category. I would assume it is a bug.

For what its worth the Master Armoire schematic bug is my biggest "bug" issue. I can work around the power display and the crated OMU's, but there's nothing I can do to make the correct master armoire.

As far as this goes its pretty straight forward..


If I am correct we have really only 3 bugs


Display bug on harvesters (which is getting worked on in test center now)


Harvester Anime Bug (which may not be one they may have cut it to save database space( working on getting this clarified)


Factory bug .. Schematics are not being finished but resources still betting used up.. This is one that we need more testing done on to narrow down when and what exactly triggers this..


The mining units not crating I dont think is a bug but more or less an over sight

I think another "bug" item is I believe that right now the graphics of the master and middle armoire are swapped. Initially they both had the graphic for the middle armoire and when they "fixed" that they gave what should really be the middle armoire the graphic for the master armoire. I don't make armoires too often so I'm not 100% sure on this, can someone confirm? I'd personally consider this a low priority item.

The Master Armoir is now the Elegant Armoir art. The elegant Armoir art is now the Rebel Faction (I believe) art. So, they rescrewed the one and screwed the other. Does that make sense?

How bout light fixtures that don't light?


Or desk lamps that can't be placed on a desk


Or that there arn't any desks (aside from faction one)


Crafting stations take artisan experimentation points not structure ones.


I have several factories that all have shut down when the output hopper reaches 68-75%. Ingredients are still there, power and maintence are just fine, it just stops working.

Master architect who does only interior design here. Two bugs that bug me:


  • Armoire schematics are incorrect - give us the correct master armoire! (this is my top priority)

  • /move forward command seems to be broken *sometimes* (I get the "that object is not in the building" notice)
