Thread: New Homes and Structures!
Id love to see addons that we could constuct to addon to the houses. Say we built a house and it would have xxx amount of addon slots that we could addon to. In another MMO there were these space stations that we could buy and then buy extra addons for it. It was really cool. Everybody had a different station for their own. Some were refueling stations, ammo stations, merchant stations and so on. There were also combo stations with ammo and refueling.. etc...
Something like this would be really cool.. obviously not have refueling or ammo houses, but having the ability to configure our houses differently.
all the larger residences seem to consist of a billion tiny rooms..

Hear, hear... The large Naboo could be so much nicer. All they need to do is knock out the upper portion of the wall that's right in front of you when you walk in and raise the ceiling to the same level as the main roon on the second floor.. presto: a nice big walk-in, open to that large main room which now would have a balcony overlooking the main entrance.
I'd like to see it where we could build a certain amount in front and back of our homes
I.e: We can have a front and back yard and maybe have gardens and other stuff out front.
PAINT!!!!! And STUFF TO HANG ON WALLS NOT JUST BACKPACKS AND WEAPONS ANDQUEST ITEMS AND ITEMS LIFTED FROM INCOMPLETE MISSIONS!!!!
I know this is going to create havoc with the data bases, but it would be nice to have houses in different colors, with rooms in different colors.
I would like to see artisans able to paint, with maybe architects making the paint. I really don't care who makes it, as long as I canpoint my customers at it and get some myself.Yes, make the paint, not just choose colors of the building when manufacturing or placing. Make the paint with probably some kind of chem and minerals, maybe a mix of different kinds. Maybe ore-based stucco for exterior colors, since all buildings seem to be made of reinforced concrete (helps reduce that combat damage, I guess). Different buildings require different amounts. Different size rooms require different amounts. Paint colors should be selected at application, at least if application is done by someone with a requisite skill.
I am sure this has been said before.
Likewise wall hangings and rugs. Textiles should obviously be made by tailors. Painting art, like sculpting art that sorta kinda exists already, is problematical. The "canned" nature of the "creative" endeavors represented may become too obvious.
A new civic structure for city halls that basically controls the militia with a terminal much the same as a PA hall's. I call ita stronghold or station house but not really tied to it.
Walk in the entrance (like a Cantina or you could do it like City Halls) and there is a large 2 story room roughly the size of a Corellian main room or medium Tat entryway room(the one with the arched doorway not the hall), it is well lit and has ahalfwall running across the room at roughly 2/3rds the length with a door(way) in the middle(much like a courtroom); the far wall and left and right side (beyond the half wall) rise up on stairs (like a PA hall but half the height to make it less obvoius); there are 2 doors on the far wall to the extreme left and right;(both of these have aceiling roughly the height of 1.5 stories)the left one leads into another large open space but this one will be roughly the size of a medium corellian/generic room with a small staircase against the far wall for a back entrance (hey why is it that we don't get them while NPC cantinas do?) the room on the righthand side has a hallway that is lined with cell-like rooms (no door and actual bars to allow this to be a storehouse rather then a jail if wanted however the ceiling dips down so that streetlamps will be hidden if you use them as bars)
Whaddya think? Oh and also I would like to see many of the buildings in Coronet to be the Corellian style/new Corellian style homes. Even the skyscrapers, you can remove the basement lvl and have them be 4 or 5 stories tall but we only get access to 3 or 4 of them. Also add rooftop balconies and potentially real ones sorta forced into the building like apartments in any city. Really just anything to make Corellia look a hell of a lot nicer the it does now.
Also on the add on structure ideas why not just make it so you can fill most of your property area? You choose to have an addition over the backyard. Perhaps you can't put them on the sides of your house and you are only able to go so far back to allow alleys but there is a good amount of no build zone that could be used for these things. Don't have it alter the footprint but use the footprint to determine how many you have. Also they should add a good deal to maintenance on small homes and less on large homes. After all if you double your building's size it's going to take a jump in the maintenance field, meanwhile it would just be a spare bedroom attached for a large house in a sense.
