Thread: Suggestion...Minimum Pricing
I would like to suggest that in order to avoid cutting our own throats, everyone set their minimum price for any structures to 4X resources.
I know there are people selling things like heavy harvesters for 110k, we all work too hard for such a small profit.
I sell mine at 125K and I can't keep up with demand...I'm ready to raise my prices because of that demand.
That should allow me to corner the market at a tidy profit...
I generally set my minimum price at 1 credit per unit more than I can buy the resources for off the bazaar. This is just the very least I will charge for friends, repeat customers or large orders. My normal prices are a little more and go up depending on the size and complexity of the building. The reason I do this, is because it makes no sence to sell a building for less than what I could sell the resources for on the bazaar with less effort and no work involved. How much it costs to mine the resources is irrelevent to pricing in architecture, what is relevent is the market value of the resources.
I am in no wayimplying that everyone should follow my pricing rules, just the way I do it - makes sence to me.
To reply to your post about minimum pricing...
Since i cannot make heavy harvesters,,,
let's start at small houses... i sell small houses for 7K.. now is that to low on pricing... people like my pricing .. also question if i sell mine for 7k and then a person turns around sells it for 10k .. should i be mad.. since it is no longer mine to do what i will with?
thanks ..

If you build it, they will buy it.
I realised that I'm screwing myself. I been selling stuff between3 and 3.5 per unit and im now realising that there are so many miners mining stuff and selling on the bazaar for between 3-10 per unit. No new news but I also did some calculations and if u sell a large for 140k u can make the cost back in a week if u find a semi good spot as a miner. So i have reevaluated this as I find i usually have to buy minerals anyway and even at 5 per unit we are hurtin to keep enuff minerals stockplied to fill our daily orders.
We gotta charge more for mineral harvs as the miners are makin more than us an that seems a bit silly cause the dont do anything... 2 cents

Its perfectly ok for someone to make more than we do after all they are using them constantly and we sell it as a one time item there is no real issue here. The problem is people selling for 1.5 2 or 3 credits a resource they may think they are doing good but in reality they are cutting their own throat and ours. They are making themselves work twice as hard for half the profit and THEN the amount that say miners make selling on the bazaar just kills me in essence the lowballers are doing more damage to the architect profession than the devs could ever do.

I sell all my harvesters and homes for 3 - 4 cpu. Anything over5cpuis pure price gouging! If you are including your price from buying your resources then stop paying so much for them and simply start harvesting all your own just like I do. I pay for my harvesters by doing combat missions on a regular basis. So just about everything I sell is pure profit. I know I have been pissing off a lot of other architects from day one but Idon't care. I have well over a million credits and am a master architect with a good base of clients, because I don't over charge people. I even had some friends of mine over hear some other architects complaining about me the other night that I am ruining the economy for under cutting them so much. LOL, I just laugh at these whiny little babies. I have been selling for 3 - 4cpu and haven't gone broke yet and won't anytime soon. So let the crying begin.
Thats pretty sad Chupie I sell for 3 to 5 buy all but the ore and have almost 2 mil, you need to get your act together
