Hey there,

you can turn off Auto-AFK in the options menu, or there is a thread in the artisan profession forum with a rather interesting idea for a shoe-box, ductape and a vibrator.

Either of these should work.

Thanks!

I've noticed that "pause 1" doesn't pause for a second, it pauses for about a 10th of a second. Try raising your pause times (double or triple them), you may want to keep an eye on it to make sure the timing is good.

If the game closes up, then you are getting disconnected. Either the server is going down for maintainance or you have other connection/stablity problems you need to look into. Also, a CSR may see you just macro-sampling and boot you.

I've got my sampling macro working pretty well. Last night I was playing on the laptop while watching TV. I'd look over every so often (i.e. commerical breaks) to see where I was at for resources, then either look for a different resource or start crafting. Went up three levels in surveying in no time.

Everyone is complaining about problems I am not even aware of. People post what YOU think is wrong with creature handler. Not what you heard, not what other people think what you think. This way we have an organized list and can attack each problem accordingly.

BEFORE NERF

1. Creatures like Rancors were able to be transfered to Novice CH's.

2. Creatures were instantly healed when stored then re-called from datapads.

3. Creaturesrarely if eversuffered deaths.

4. Master CH's could control 3 Rancors at one time.

5. Single master CH's could kill the MOST powerful creatures and npc's in the game.

6. PVP with 3 creatures helping out I think you get the picture there.

7. Novice CH'S with Rancors would camp out at high xp spots and steal kills from groups of players.

8. CH'S were able to transfer over more creatures than CH'S were supposed to be able to hold in their data pad.

9. CH class was never supposed to be THE combat class.

10. No Player class holds a candle to CH.

After Nerf

1. Perma-Death for pets - I understand this but it does feel a bit harsh. I know how hard it's going to be to lose a creature that I have invested a lot of time and energy in.

2. Weakeing of the creatures- If perma-death is instituted this seems redundent.

3. They didnt nerf this class earlier now there are A LOT of people who cant accept the changes that NEED to be made to this class. Would have been much wiser for SOE to have jumped on these changes earlier.

Excellent lets solve this **edit** problem.
1.Make it to where you couldn't even transfer to somone not qualified to use one meaning make only level 3 or four CH's able to use high end beasts.
2.Take that bug away. Make creature healing and wounds just as hard as people.
3.Make creatures clonable.
4.Make all CH's only to use one pet and make pets upkeep difficult (regular feeding healing and excercise).
5.Solved with #4.
6.Solved with #4.
7.Solved with #1.
8.Solved with #4.
9.Solved with everything I said.
10.Same.

I see a trend here.

Hello, being a non-architect I am unfamiliar with ALL the problems you face. Although, I found some of my own being a home owner. I hope this isn't too redundant, but here it goes...

1. Do all homes have the same amount of item slots in it? I had barely began to place things when the house told me it was full. Granted, I took everything out of my bank and have too many clothes. But still, my large Naboo home has as many slots as a small one. Or, so I've been told. I can only place around 120 things in it. Most of it is in packs, but I don't have room for furniture.

2. It's hard to place things in my house. The interface is screwy. I have to hit rotate left several times before it actually does it. Then, if I want to place an item on a table that takes forever. There should be some way to place items on a table. I see some reasoning behind this, such as Dev's wouldn't want people stacking couches on one another, but little items are hard to get just right.

3. There should be some way to implement the little sculptures and painting from the hotels. Many people I know would invest in this type of personalization.

4. Our PA Hall is evil. We didn't know that you couldn't place over a certain amount of items before the terminals disappeared. We can't get any of the stuff we placed from downstairs. A whole wardrobe for a Master Dancer has been lost. Maybe stairs? Or, just cap the hall or something... Oh, and something else that would be wonderful is being able to place things on the patio upstairs. Well, that is after they fix the item limit on the hall.

Other than that, architects rock! I can't wait until they can actually make a planted pot style 2. What's the deal with that? lol

The pause is probably milliseconds...try pause 1000; for one second.

For the last time:

Macro-sampling isn't illegal. If you're actually sitting there, talking, sending /tells or whatnot, it's FINE.

Letting the game run on its own IS. So turning off your monitor and going to sleep while the macro runs is a violation of the Terms of Service. Theoretically, they can ban you for that.

Practically speaking, it's not going to happen. Unless they implement some sort of check for how long you've been doing something over and over (and even then some ppl DO stay on and sample for hours), the line above is a fine one. And they won't be sending CSRs to boot macro-samplers; that's like sending a SWAT team to write tickets. Their time is paid and valuable.

What does this all mean?

If you can't figure this out, there's no point telling you anymore.

Use a different macro from the flourishing one. Then you can target people as they arrive and fire of the greeting macro.

/greet;/warm Welcome to the cantina %NT.;
I use something like this when a do greets in a cantina.

"Once upon a time Rangers roamed the galaxies... Before the dark times, before the NGE. "
Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger.
