Thread: Question about Input Hoppers on Crafting Stations...
Posted this in Discussion forum but post got pushed to page 5 or so in four mins so figured I'd come ask people here that might know.
If I want to move my house to a different planet, which includes emptying it out, do I need to remove my resources from my input hopper of my crafting station before I pick the crafting station up into my inventory? If anyone has any experience with this please let me know. Thanks.
great question, i am considering a move soon as well. split a resource or two into quantity one amounts. put it in the hopper, then do a pickup and move to your pa hall or a friends place that can give you admin to drop things. let us know what happens!
im working so i cant test it now, but this would be a great shortcut for moving all the items from an old to a new house! also check your inventory when you pick it up to see if it goes up by 3 or just by one spot. maybe crafting stations with input hoppers can bypass the inventory limit for quick moves house to house.
*crosses fingers*
Ok, dumb question of the day coming up:
I didn't even know that crafting stations have an input hopper... - What does this do? How do you use it, etc etc..
All i ever knew is that i get better results from the private stations in my house than those stupid public stations in town...
Please dont flame me, it's an honest question (i probably dont have to worry about the flames here, i'm just used to hanging out in the discussion board
)
Thanks!
Back to topic; now that we all know how to use these things, can anyone confirm or deny the ability to load them up (please test with just a couple single quanitity resource stacks), pick them up (count the additional inventory slots taken up), and place them in another structure while retaining the resources?
Don't make me do all this through VNC to my home PC from work ![]()
Dumb question number 2 and 3:
Is there a way to get the resources back out once you put them in? - or do you just have to use them up.
What are the advantages other than not having your inventory cluttered? - Does it improve the results from that station, etc...?
